Sorry, the conversation over here has not been as lively as the conversation in the Facebook group. I wonder, is there anyone here that isn't on the Facebook Group? Should I be trying harder to facilitate conversations over here?

Unlike Facebook, I don't have control over who joins this group, but if people are posting things that are not related to the group I can remove them and ban them. It seems extreme to ban someone, but I will do so for anyone who is posting things unrelated to the http://shouldiblog.org course or cancer blogging.

In week 1 I talk about RSS readers (http://shouldiblog.org/week-1-what-are-blogs/week-1-content/) ... just wondering if any of you were already familiar with RSS and using a reader? Or is this totally new to you? Does it help you follow blogs? Personally, I couldn't live without the RSS feeder (both Feedly and Mr. Reader on my iPad) otherwise I'd miss posts from my favourite bloggers ... does this section need more detail? If you haven't tried it, do you need more help to figure it out?

Please feel free to introduce yourself as you enter this community ... I'm Rebecca (aka bcbecky). I have been an avid blogger since my husband and I took 16 months off and road our bikes around the world (and blogged about it at http://goingeast.ca) ... the Should I blog? course looks at different aspects of cancer blogging and my goal is to empower people (women especially) with the tools needed to blog if they choose to do so ...
