Hi to all! I have a little problem to solve, if someone can show me the right direction...

When i use .hover() i can set two function, for mouseenter and for mouseleave.

In both functions i have a call to an api that do something: this "something" is an action that have a duration and until is not completed i cannot call it another time. (in my case when i enter in a div i see a slideshow changing image, when i leave the div the slideshow load another image).
So if i hover a div and then i leave the div before this action is completed, the api that i call in the mouseleave event is not fired.
Can i do something to let .hover() wait before firing something inside his mouseleave functions?
Sorry for my english :-(

WOW! Thanks +Tim Jagodzinski, i will try solution as soon i can, very nice. Sorry i'm not so good in JS ;-) so i have hardcoded a timing that i know could be right for my needs. But you are right, if someone change the duration or api respond slowly your solution if far more better!

PS: this is my extended awful but working code http://jsfiddle.net/a9h73xj3/

Help needed  -

I am relatively new to jquery...

I have some divs on my webpage which I hide/show using text entered in a text input box (filter divs). That works fine. But now I would like to store the text the user typed in and set the text page to that value, when the user returns to that page (when he returns to the page the last filter is applied).

What is the best method to do that? Use Cookies? Or what other possibility is there to store the filter data?

Thanks Brian for your feedback. Would the HTML5 data storage be a good way too? I am writing to a db (mysql) anyway, but I have not yet understood how to do that using jquery. Another issue is, that the filter may constantly change, so I have to find a good point in time when to store the data once only.

The idea of storing filters and making them available for everyone is interesting. That could be done using autocomplete.

So I guess what I'll do is to send the filter data/text to the server and store it in the db. I'll give it a try.

Thanks again. Uwe

To check the check box we can use the .attr() property and we can set the checked property of the checkbox to true , but it not support invert of it means if we want to do the uncheck that checkbox again. There is another fun...
