New JS Library Touts Simple AJAX Handling
Simpler than learning time tested code?

Here's an article about a JavaScript library that says it will simplify AJAX handling. It seems, based on previous development with time tested functionality that already exists, including the longevity of existing processes already available, let alone endless help forums, this doesn't make much sense. I would even say, especially for beginners, this makes less sense.

HTML code pollution and an additional #JavaScript library doesn't come across as worthwhile, or any more simple or straightforward....just learn #AJAX or use its #jQuery #API .

What do you think?

Pointing out issues and specific reasons why it's not really helpful, while offering a logical alternative, makes sense, and rationally creates varying points for an open discussion. Otherwise, it's just a complaint with no offered solution, which isn't as helpful.

[AjaxError]
Hi all! i've a particular problem when i'm user the Ajax send data to a server page php.
The problem is ONLY about iemobile 11 on windows phone 8.1. In all other browser i've no problems, from desktop as mobile.
The webpage is made with angularjs, but to test the problem i made the call with simple $.ajax().

The request method is GET, with 2 params, to a php file who store the data and send them with a .zip file of image to a webservice.
i tried to set the timeout, contentType, headers (allow orgini..).. Nothing.I still get error.

The ajax call fails with error:
{readystate 0 responsetext "" status 0 statustext "error"}

All the file are on the same origin. The html, JS and PHP are on the same folder. The websercive is locate in another folder.

Any help?

I think this is one of the most awesome uses of JavaScript, yet. I can see many applications for it. Students could use it while reading long required texts. Doctors could use it when having to review long medical reports. The most excellent stuff is the stuff you didn't know you needed until you find it and use it!
