boo.  how's it going people.

long time no speak.  i'm busy looking for work at the moment, signing up to a number of job websites and working on my udemy courses content. last night i setup a greenwall in the caravan and i think it came out pretty well.  got me thinking about an led frame to evenly light the green so i don't have to have lights in front of me as such i could just have a downlight.

think i'm going to design something on the laser wood cutter that will do the job and line the insides of the frame with led light strips.  bit of an experiment and i'm not sure how far it will throw that light but it's worth a shot.  not sure if they are daylight possible led strips but yeah, experiments! :)

boo.  long time no speak.

just wanted to give you a bit of an update to the group seeing as it seems we just vanished off the face of the earth.  we moved.  not just to a new place but to a whole new city.  kinda drastic don't you think?

the thing is after many years of working to get our previous city, co-working and super fast internet project to go faster we got fed up.  we got fed up with trying to explain what we did to people and to open any doors that did not have us not selling our soul on the other side.  so we moved.  in fact, we jumped at the chance.

so now we have moved into the brand new co-working and business hub in derby.  what will be known as the co-working capital of the midlands (heck the uk) within the next two years.  the regeneration of derby city centre has been vast, fast and handled in expert fashion.

with a working gigabit internet system (1000mb) we are now in the 1% of the fastest internet in the whole of the uk.  and it's gonna go faster in the next six months with extra provisioning expected.

we have a new co-working space and a studio space on the second floor and we will be recording all our shows again from here and uploading them in super quick fashion.  we are also taking on a few interns for the next six months to get us up to speed.

pistreet is not dead but has pivoted into sadlergate.tv and i'm busy working on a bitcoin blog network (video, textblogs and interviews) for a london client and everything is heading in the right direction.  if your in the locality and want to come and see what a speedtest or download/upload feels like on gigabit then please message me on twitter to arrange.

if your looking for co-working i cannot think of anywhere else in the uk that has put together a better package than this.  if your company that works with video anywhere in the uk and your having problems just getting a train to derby once a week and bringing your external hd it makes you the money back to get your videos uploaded in a speedy fashion.

so yes, pivot and move.   i've started to move all of my blogs to different locations and cj is also very busy with a big project that we will talk about more over the coming months

we are not dead!

cellar54 is packing up and moving to derby! - they have #gigabit  internet so yeah.  decision made.  we will still be carrying on our projects in nottingham like http://thepistreet.com and http://petalcoworking.co.uk but ultimately we are moving away.  in two hours we got more work than we did in the last three years of being part of the creative quarter.

says a lot! :)

we are not dead! - just coming back up for air after summer time and starting to see a bunch of people trickling back after the august holidays that a number of people seem to just be getting back from.  we are dabbling with tech, refreshing the studio and doing more outreach for jobs we want to work on.  still very much wanting to split my week between nottingham and the countryside and working on that bit by bit.

just an update to our cellar54 community.  we took a break for summer in general and have been busy elsewhere.  i'm daily blogging here at the moment -- http://mutherbored.com (uses my evernote account) which is awesome.  hat tip to +Caron Lyon for suggesting it.  saves me monthly money for hosting so expect me to move a lot of my other stuff across to this as well.  much faster for me to get things off my chest! :)

sorry i've been a bit quiet over here but putting in the hours to get the videos and graphics done for the pi street project that was recently funded.  since we had the money come through we have been busy ordering hdmi cables, memory cards, monitors, pi, pi cases, power units and battling with wall mounts that work properly and allow us to actually get to the cabling! - getting there.

it's all very frantic and busy over here in derby. we are building out a better version of rezpondr from years ago written in python, multi-threaded and multi social platforms. it's fast. it's storing gobs of hash-tagged tweet data currently.

we have a front end api working, output to statusboard for fancy looking graphs and charts and are about to integrate our first theme for #connectderby  project as a test for events. we just got some nice jquery isotope action going this weekend -- should look sweet when template design is adjusted (fixes and updates are in, this image was just a sketch flo did from the connect team)

next up will be bambuser streams, vine, instagram, mixlr, soundcloud and a lovely lovely geo map running on openstreetmap. i'm not sure how long all those intergrations are going to take but it's certainly coming together.

looking forward to showing you this all working and integrated on our mobile social media command unit we are building. it's all go. and only a few of us are working on it.  exciting thou.

it's not ready to roll yet but this is the plan we are heading down.  i'm sure we could make one for the derby chapel quarter and beyond.  be interesting to head to derby with a bunch of hardware and software projects! :)
Following the Creative Quarter Issued Mapping of where only creativity should live (weird) in Certain Areas of Nottingham City. We felt it has taken far to long to have a mobile application that gives you this level of information so working with partners we are bringing our own version. neat ...

long time no chat people!

sorry we have not been around in here but we are planning to come back in the new year.  we might even have a crafty little app show special for you for the christmas period.

i'm purchasing a caravan today to go and place on a farm nearer to where my daughter lives.  this will increase the amount of potential time i will get to see her.  this is a good thing.

in the meantime you help with a people per hour endorsement would be awesome -- http://smarturl.it/endorseme -- i'm going to be concentrating my efforts from a thursday evening to a sunday night on doing some of my better work away from the city and coming back on the monday morning to take those ideas and drafts and film them in our studio space.  think of it as drafting and timeout time.

hope you are all well.  and i'm sure i'll be posting here again soon!

so we are taking time out for summer regards our shows.  we want to lift them and take them to the next level and that means reflecting on what works and what does not.  the app show has always been good so something bigger than that around apps would be good.
