Okee Dokee

This image of a boat tied up at the docks in Peachland, BC, is a simple click with the only processing done by adding the "Over a Baril" filter using OnOne Perfect B&W 9.5. I liked the black and white effect it had on this image. The boat's name and the textures in the scene caught my eye.

Downstream at Hardy Falls
This was really the only image I got from our Hardy Falls hike a few weeks ago. I liked the texture and colours in the water and the greens on the old log. This is a five shot handheld HDR.

This photo was taken back in February at the 1001 Steps Beach in Surrey, BC, Canada and that day probably had the most beautiful sunset that I have ever seen!

It was made from 8 exposures that were blended together with Lightroom Enfuse, with some further editing in Photoshop and Lightroom. The original exposure was shot at ISO 100, f/11, with a shutter speed of 0.8 seconds @10mm.

This photo was taken back in February at the 1001 Steps Beach and that day probably had the most beautiful sunset that I have ever seen! Prior to the sunset, it looked fairly promising and a friend asked if I would like to check it out, and I honestly was not expecting it to look anything like how it did. If you live around Vancouver you might remember this epic sunset. For the past few weeks I have been trying to edit a panorama of this scene but unfortunately I was unable to get it to look right due to some major parallax issues. After playing around with it for a while I decided to give up and edit this single shot.

This was made from 8 exposures that were blended together with Lightroom Enfuse, with some further editing in Photoshop and Lightroom. The original exposure was shot at ISO 100, f/11, with a shutter speed of 0.8 seconds @10mm.

Here's the Original:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/vicktion/17185502678/
How it was Processed:
1. Used Lightroom to change the WB, remove the distortion, vignetting, chromatic aberrations, noise and exported each as Tiffs.
2. Blended the exposures together with Lightroom Enfuse.
3. Imported the Enfused photo and the original exposures into Photoshop where I:
- Blended in parts from the various exposures using luminosity masks and brushes
- Removed some distracting things with the clone stamp and healing brush tools
- Added some detail with Topaz Adjust 5
4. I reimported into Lightroom where I:
- Adjusted the exposure, contrast and white balance
- Adjusted the exposure sliders
- Adjusted the vibrance and saturation sliders
- Selectively adjusted parts of the image with various radial filters, adjustment brushes and graduated filters
- Added some sharpening and a vignette

The steel Crab sculpture, 6m (nearly 20 ft) high, stands guard in its spraying fountain outside the entrance of the H.R. Macmillan Science Centre, Vancouver, B.C.. Designed by George Norris, welded by Gus Lidberg, it's been reaching its claws to the sky in this spot since 1968.
