More Gaming Goodness for THE KRAKEN GAMING BREAK:

THE TALISMAN OF AKBASH
Authors: Bill Bodden, Michael Cieslak, Matthew Dawkins, Alan Gowing and Tito Leati
Gamemaster: Tito Leati

Be a Good Dog.
Protect Your Home.
Be Loyal To Those Who Are True.

These are the words of the Code of Man. Dogs have inherited the world, building the Kingdom of Pugmire thousands of years after the Ages of Man.

Following the trail of a mysterious artifact of the Ages of Man, Pan Dachshund and Sampson Mutt left on a perilous journey in the Fearful Forest. Nobody knows for sure what the two good dogs found there, but news of a newly discovered ancient ruin, full of riches and wonders, sparked a wave of emulation among the brave dogs of Pugmire. As more and more young citizens of the realm seem likely to embark in a dangerous expedition into the unknown, Princess Yosha Pug wants those rumors to be properly investigated before someone gets hurt. Will you heed the call and seek the truth for the Kingdom of Pugmire?

System: Pugmire RPG

Pugmire lets the players assume the role of 'uplifted' dogs, trying to survive and thrive in a post-apocalyptic far future, in which 'old' technology transfigured into sorcery. If you are up to a light-hearted, fun game, this is for you. (And don't let the KRAKEN grab your puppy.)

THE KRAKEN GAMING BREAK

The first games are in:

SOMETHING ROTTEN IN DOSKVOL
Author: The Players!
Gamemaster: Gary ‘Evilgaz’ Bowerbank

In the cold, foggy city of Doskvol, (an industrial-fantasy city encased by a lightning fence keeping out hordes of ghosts), trouble is brewing in the twisting, crisscrossed waterways and streets. The leader of the Crows lies dead. Rivals revive their old feuds with Lampblacks and Red Sashes eager to claim the territory as their own. Among all that, your gang sits poised to take advantage — either through coin, territory or reputation — it’s time for you to make a name for yourselves in this rotten city.

System: Blades in the Dark

AFTER DARK
Author & Keeper: Lynne Hardy

You are attending an 'After Dark' session at a local museum — one of a series of special events designed to encourage people into museums who might not otherwise visit them. Tonight's should be interesting: apparently, they're bringing in a local psychic to ‘read‘ some of the museum's objects. From the description, though, you can't quite work out whether this is a piece of performance art or the 'real thing'. Still, it's free — and what could possibly go wrong?

System: Call of Cthulhu

SUNKEN HOPES
Author & Gamemaster: Stefan Gravemeyer

Spies of the Emperor's Holy Inquisition have ferreted out heretics hiding in a sunken city on a just recently rediscovered ocean world. So what is more natural than putting some of the Emperor’s finest Space Marines and crew on board of a submarine together with a payload of the most dangerous virus bomb ever created and launch you directly from orbit into the sea? Nothing of course! You are just wondering why all those puny humans around you are praying very intensively to the God Emperor right now. Cowards!

System: Warhammer 40K using Savage Worlds

KNIGHT TAKES QUEEN
Author & Gamemaster: Gary ‘Evilgaz’ Bowerbank

Sir Hector is a knight known for his love of games, expert in chess and mock battles alike. He is also famously reckless, and in a wager has allegedly lost his wife to Fae creatures. Clearly this can't be true, as no loyal vassal of your lord would countenance such a thing! However, five knight errant have been tasked with speaking to Sir Hector, perhaps to help him clear his forests of 'bandits' or anything else he may need …

System: Pendragon

Remember the board game prototype of Miskatonic University: The Restricted Collection from the last KRAKEN?
It's on Kickstarter now! The german language version stretch goal has already been reached and there is play video that was recorded at the last KRAKEN as well. Nice.

Kraken-Virgin here... Last year at UKGE I played RQG with (among others) +Andrew Jones and +Pookie UK. Both of them insisted I had to come to The Kraken... so now it's happening. I just registered myself and three friends! I have no idea how this works, but I'm already hyped up! :-)
