Hello everyone!  I'm Karen and I blog at MrsLookingGood.com.  I'm from Sacramento and I'm doing my best to balance being a thrifty but stylish blogger,  a mamapreneur and a playdate guru.

I want to rally everyone to look good, inside and out! And that translates to how I interact with people and how I dress myself too.

You cannot take care of others, if you do not take care of yourself first!

Looking forward to getting to know all of you! Please follow me and I will gladly follow back.

I am coming up on post 1000 next year on my blog, so it seemed fitting to share a few things I've learned about blogging. Any thoughts?

UPDATE: Hello to the Sacramento blogging community. Thanks for being with us. We've recently made some changes to the #SacramentoBlogs! Community on G+. Here's a brief look at what's new and what's coming soon:

DISCUSSIONS
We've transitioned from more than 10 discussions to 3 key discussion areas as follows:
1. Blogging Discussion
2. Non-Blogging Topics
3. Add Blog URL & Intro (a place to introduce yourself and your blog)

ABOUT THIS COMMUNITY Section
We've locked down the group to cut down on the number of spammers and set up 2 simple requirements to join: Be in the Sacramento region and join as a person, not a business.

We've also enhanced our Goals and Guidelines:

GOALS 1. Foster conversation related to blogging. 2. Help each other become better bloggers. 3. Meet other local bloggers.

GUIDELINES 1. Start engaging and interesting conversations related to blogging. 2. Make friendly. Share ideas. Connect. 3. Do not post links to your new blog posts.

COMING SOON
1. We're looking for 2-3 community managers to help with a number of things. Hit me up on G+ or @ronnieledesma for more info.
2. Events - get ready for some Hangouts and eventually an IRL event (IRL = In Real Life).

QUESTION: What would you like to get from an organized local blogging community?

If you have any ideas or feedback, feel free to post them in the Non-Blogging Topics discussion or send them to me directly. Cheers.

As a blogger, do you prefer to take your own photos or to use licensed photos that require attribution?

I'm curious: What's your experience with ads on your blog? I've noticed some have lots of related ads on their blogs in the hopes of making a little more money. I've also seen some blogs with carefully selected, well-designed ads sold directly to an advertiser. What do you find to be the pros and cons of these approaches?
