Was wondering if you could help with a problem my 3d printer is having
My printer thinks it is 11mm away but is actually 45mm
I used prusa calculator to calculate my 2mm pitch 8mm lead screw to 1600 with 1/16 micro stepping

alex is this right for homing z axis?

How do you wire the end stops up on the spartan x am using x min and y min with z min.when I press auto home the only axis that moves is the z-axis as the x-axis and y-axis show 0 on the LCD without hitting the limit switch.

Finally got the Talos3D printing. I changed out the electronics and went with a Duet WiFi with the 7in panel and really like it. Still a lot of tweaking to do, but the Benchys are looking better each print. Working on cleaning up the wiring and designing some covers for the electronics.
I am pretty happy with the results so far, as this is my first 3d printer.

Hey +Alex Lee should I be alarmed that the power wires coming into the board from the power supplies are getting extremely hot during printing. I'm afraid the mosfets will blow and I could have a problem on my hand.

Never seen this problem on any of smoothieboards so figured I would ask

So after checking all the belts, vref and carriages I was able to print off 5 benchy's and each improved based on tweaks to the s3d profile and checking the mechanicals of the printer. The last is a big improvement from the first but still not perfect.

All seems to print well until it starts to work it's way up and print the cabin and there is prints starts to shift.

Any suggestions and what I could check to help improve the print quality.
