My daughter and I, drive outside the city to get a spring water approximately once a month. Even with epilepsy...she is the muscle, as I am also disabled, in extreme pain and weaker than she is. So she does most of the heavy lifting whenever she can and we help each other... sometimes I have to take over to finish the job, well... lots of times lately. The Spring time and the Fall are not kind to her neurological balance. She does get upset when she starts a job and cannot finish it and sometimes it can increase her stress if she is already not feeling so well. So I thought the series of seizures that started this evening were because she was stressing out, but we had a different lesson... it was not the stress, it was something else...

If it wasn't for my dog Xena, I would have never even known about this seizure. She barked so loud, that I rushed to the room to see what's happening. She is a loud and squeaky puppy, but this time I knew something was wrong. YEY! Xena! Our Hero!
My daughter was face down and the blanket was obstructing her breathing. Good I got there.. so thankful to my loving "Pet Alert Dog" :) <3

Have any of you had a bad experience in public? My daughter did...on more than one occasion and so I tell her not to go out by herself. Hmm, it is definitely easier said than done if you are an adult, but consider this..."consequences of such choice". I have posted a video telling one of many stories that we choose to share, with respect to issues that arise from living with Epilepsy. You have our permission to share it if you'd like to. Give us your stories, tell us your experience...
