Hi, the new version is ready for beta testing. If anybody wants to help test and give feedback, I would greatly appreciate it!

The desktop version can be found here: https://github.com/turtl/desktop/releases/tag/v0.7.0-rc3

The android version (.apk only for now) is here: https://github.com/turtl/android/releases/tag/v0.7.0-rc3

Note that this release uses a completely new server as well, so there's a migration process that moves your data from the old server to the new one (but it should be painless).

This is the result of years of work, and lays the foundation for a much faster, much more stable Turtl (and an iOS app!) so I'm very excited about this release!

Thanks, everyone!

- Andrew

I started testing out Turtl today, and came across one pretty major issue that has stopped us from using it. I attempt to delete a note on the Windows Client, and it freezes to a dead stop. I have to kill it using the task manager to shut it down.

I am using the 64 bit version on Windows 10.

I know this has been brought up before, but it looks like either the person posting didn't turn on comments...

I know Turtl is being somewhat rewritten... But any news on a beta of the new version?

Today is the first time I've had issues with Turtl. It keeps saying over and over that it can't connect. When it does connect, which every once and a while, it syncs an old revision. I've lost off my notes from today.

I get a sync message problem every minute or so. Is it me or the server?

Turtl needs a backup\save locally option, and an option to work offline. Besides that, it's a great app. Thanks for making it available to the public.

is they're a way to do api call to my notes?

I want to backup my notes

I get an error status code 504 Gateway timeout when I am attempting to login

Response body is:

<!DOCTYPE html>
body {
width: 35em;
margin: 0 auto;
font-family: Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif;
<h1>An error occurred.</h1>
<p>Sorry, the page you are looking for is currently unavailable.<br/>
Please try again later.</p>
<p>If you are the system administrator of this resource then you should check
the <a href="http://nginx.org/r/error_log">error log</a> for details.</p>
<p><em>Faithfully yours, nginx.</em></p>

This is inconvenient. I can't login or access any of my notes.

my login is timing out. Never had any issues until this morning. I haven't changed passwords or any server details.

Any ETA for a new version for Linux, even as beta?
