Hi All,

Just got a site wide pen removed at the first try which I am so happy about. The thing is I am still seeing the previous penalty showing despite getting the message to say the manual penalty was revoked.

It's been over 24 hours now. How long are other people having to wait for the penalty message to disappear once the penalty has been revoked?

Weird, from my experience usually the penalty is removed from the GWT interface at same time as you receive the message, or shortly thereafter.

Either way nice work! Glad to hear some SEO wins these days :)

Hey Rick,

Hoping you can give me some insights here, recently did a big disavow list and reinclusion request for a client and Google came back with a typical BS response:

We've reviewed the links to your site and we still believe that some of them are outside our quality guidelines.
Sample URLs:
http://best-hair-loss.blogspot.com/2006/08/laser-hair-removal-and-me.html
http://www.rationalresponders.com/forum/19759
http://www.mystclair.com/articles.php?id=1479

Referencing a post from 2006 that 4 SEO tools (including GWT) couldn't pick up?

Any ideas?

Just had a site wide manual penalty lifted at the 3rd attempt.

The site had a absolute ton of spam and it was a huge job to remove links and get it cleaned up. Probably the spammiest link profile I have worked on so far.

Just goes to show it is always possible to get a penalty lifted with enough hard work and determination.

Don't give up hope.

That's cool. Last week I got a sitewide manual spam lifted to a partial, not brilliant, but it was done in 4 days! Today I submitted the latest RR for my most spammed site (and the one that made me the most money!) so fingers crossed there.

My 2nd Link Research Tools case study is now live. I love what Christoph wrote in the introduction, 'Rick Lomas uncovers the dark secrets buried in WilliamHill.com’s link profile and uncovered multiple abuses. Tragically, they could have been avoided with closer scrutiny and regular link audits.'

Hi Rick and Co,

When using Link Detox/Genisis to find and remove toxic links is it beneficial to contact the webmasters on the sites where the toxic links originate in order to get the links removed? This is a lot of work and to do property would take a couple of weeks while waiting for replies etc.  This step does not appear to be mentioned in the Link Detox write up. Can it be avoided safely?
Any advice appreciated?

Any ideas on this - help would be appreciated! Thanks...

Help! I'm pretty sure we've picked up a penalty and I'm trying to find out what has caused it so that I can correct it. Here are the details...

We've been in the top 3 spots for keywords 'Web design Edinburgh' for some time and a few days ago we dropped completely off Google (not listed in the first 10 pages but still indexed). Other sites seem to be unaffected, keeping their position.

I've looked in webmaster tools and there is no manual penalty showing, so I'm assuming that this is an algorithm penalty?

We've never built links (the site was one of the ones that really benefitted from the penguin/panda releases). So I think some kind of technical penalty - I don't know what though!

We haven't changed much at all in the last month so it may be an algorithm change? Has there been one in the last week?

Any ideas on how to go about finding what is causing the penalty???

Thanks!

If I am resolving a partial manual action penalty on a site, is it still safe to promote press release on a service like SB WIRE for real events we are having? What about Slide Share sites of real presentations we give to our clients? Can I still do real SEO with great content while I am dealing with my penalty? Appreciate any feedback.

Hi all it's 02:23 here in France, I have just finished my second gig of the day and I am off to bed. If anyone wants to take advantage of the Competitive Detox offer I made the other day you have about 12 hours to grab it. Otherwise i will use it as part of my next case study (William Hill). If I don't use the credits they will disappear on the 14th. Night Night.

Hi, I need some brainstorming input on an ugly issue:
Someone has sent a mail threatening a client with "wiping out the site on Google" if he does not pay 200 bucks, offering to "wipe out a competitor" as upsell offer. Do we need to take this seriously? Is this a threat to spamlink the site? Is there anything I could do to prevent a backlink spam or negative Seo attack? Thanks for any ideas, cheers

I'm offering the Competitive Link Detox service to compare your site with 10 of your competitors. This gives valuable information about the kind of links you can safely have in your niche, if your site is at risk and much more. This is the first video, I will do the results video when the report has stopped processing. If you order this before Sunday I will do this for €99 (or £89 or $149). I only have enough credits to do 3 people so hurry! Use the contact form here: http://www.indexicon.com/contact-us/

I have quite a few Link Detox credits spare that I need to use before Sunday. I am happy to a Link Detox report and create a disavow file for £50, 75€ or $100. If you have a manual penalty I will do all this and write the reconsideration request for you too for £75, 100€ or $150. Contact me here ASAP if you are interested. http://www.indexicon.com/contact-us/

Hi All,

Does anyone know of any way to speed up the reconsideration process?

It seems like Google is taking an age to respond to the requests lately and is often rejecting them.

Any tips or tricks to get a quicker and more successful response would be great.

Hi guy's.

Just joined the group (was recommended by Les Edwards of rankmysite.ocm).

Just wondered what peoples experiences were of Link Research Tools?

I'm new to the tool and are predominantly using is to Detox lists of potential links.

The thing is that it seems to be taking an age to run the reports - uploaded 250k links the other day, and it look like its going to take about 8 days to run the report!!

Just wondered if other had experienced the same thing and if that was about right?

Thanks

Jonathon

I have had quite a few people ask me if Link Detox Boost works, so hopefully I am going to prove that it does work. This site was only promoted using automated tools and used to rank at 9 on google.co.uk for 'folding bikes' - it got hit by Penguin 2.1 in October 2013 and now ranks at '109'. I have just done a Link Detox on it and uploaded the disavow file to WMT. Now I wait for the WMT confirmation from Google.

Hello, I've just been invited and joined.

A while back my site was always eight or nine on google until the changes.  I checked through the sites that were new and one of them was just an empty blog: just a name and no content!

That was a bit dis-heartening to say the least.  It was probably teething troubles because it's gone now, but I'm still a few pages back.

Good Morning. I have 10 spare Link Detox credits that I need to use before Wednesday this week (or I lose them!). So I am offering to do a CDTOX on your site comparing it with 9 of your competitors as per the video on the page below. I am offering to do this for $200. This gives you invaluable information about where your competitors get their strong healthy links from, so that you can go after them yourself. I will provide you with screenshots and the Excel Spreadsheet of the results. Let me know ASAP if you are interested.
