Really nice property to shoot. Equipment Used: Canon T2i, Konova Slider, Lens 10-18mm, Induro Tripod and MORE!

Decided not to have walk through footage in this one. First shoot using the slider. Looking forward to getting another quick release to make the shooting process even better and the shots more diverse. Instead of waiting to find another videographer to shoot it for me, I took care of it myself!
I'd much rather have a videographer that does real estate videos on a regular basis shoot and edit my properties, but I decided to just get the rest of my equipment just in case I need to shoot the videos and have a tight timeline.

Looking forward to trying new things and learning more as I shoot more properties, but overall always exciting to see the finished product. I see tweaks that of course could be made, but moving forward!

Are the comments that are shared on our videos in this group only visible to the group and not clients that view videos on YouTube?

I think that you did a great job! There are a few bouncy/wobbly shots in there but I think that that can be corrected next time by adjusting the tension on your slider. It look like you hesitated while sliding or hit a "bump" in your slider. Possibly clean the track or relax the tension a teensy bit more. All in all, I believe that you did great. I like you signature logo, also.

We are back with the Trailer for our next video Titled "Get On The Bond".  We wanted to educate first time home buyers in a fun and memorable way about The Florida Bond Program.  The program assists first time home buyers with $10,000 for down payment and/or closing costs.  If you have any questions about the video let me know.  Thanks!

I'm a big fan of doing a walk-through video as if I am giving you the tour of the property. I'm interested to see if anyone else takes this approach? This was a recently done in Goldengate Canyon just above Golden Colorado

Make sure you are always lit. Have at least an onboard light. You are always dark and at 2:38 you are silhouette due to the back light.

At 3:36 the bathroom is yellow. The camera person needs to get it right in camera or suck out the saturation in post. The other bathrooms are different colours and you still don't see alot.

I would shoot yourself in set areas well lit that forms the base of the VO and then shoot the home and edit accordingly. Here is an example. http://ny.platinumhd.tv/videos/residential/us/fairfield/greenwich/2-wooddale-rd-23508.html

Maybe use a  14mm or 17mm to get wider shots of the rooms so people can really see the size.

Use a tripod and the length should be 90sec tops for a home this size. Feel free to contact me further if you would like. Perhaps some music to push it along.

I was recently part of a conversation over on LinkedIn about using aerial video as just "icing on the cake" for real estate video. Personally, I think others overdo it with 2 minutes of fly-overs before you ever see the inside of the home.

Fred Light said wisely, "buyers live in the house and on the ground", and we agreed that in real estate video, you have to show the house.

So here's a video I did recently and I just sprinkled a bit of aerial, a bit of tripod work, a bit of steadicam, a bit of shallow depth of field, and a bit of slider work. (I'm not a big fan of slider shot after slider shot, or videos that try to be so artistic, they don't show the home).  I tried to find the right balance of all of these shooting techniques.  I went heavy on community as the builder emphasized this as one of their important objectives of the video

It's a tad on the long side, but it does focus on 2 homes.  It could have been much shorter if it were just a resale and I had less square footage to show off.  What do you think?  Any constructive criticism is appreciated.

Okay, I certainly do not want to bombard this page with my real estate videos, but I wanted to add this video because we so often just add videos of properties that are considered "luxury." I am curious to see other videos of homes that are not ultra-expensive and/or extremely unique. Curious to hear everyone's thoughts.

Can anyone recommend a good company for increasing SEO that isn't extremely pricey? The last company I talked to wanted $1500/month.

We had our first successful export for VR and 360 video. It is like being born again! The workflow issues are a plenty and it's on going development of trial and error. All things being equal we should have made enough mistakes, taking a few dead ends and will come out with a decent workflow and a number of products for the real estate industry by the end of next week. Check out a snippet of the future. I will add a dropbox file for everyone to download a 360 Video in a few weeks to review. #virtualreality   #oculus   #gopro   #videoproduction   #realestate   #realestatevideo   #360video

I like doing videos of my listings with walk-through footage. To me it's important to show the floor plan of the home rather than static video or photos of rooms. I'm toying with the idea of breaking out my rotating tripod head again but I think it may get too busy and too long. I'm just walking around with my drone because it's a smoother look than a camcorder would be and I don't have the money to spend on a high end video camera with stabilization unit. Thoughts?

Well I have shot videos for more than half my life and can honestly say that this was the first shoot IN MY LIFE that I broke some camera equipment. Busted my Canon 7D and 15-35mm L Series Lens by slipping on some ice. Thank goodness it was at the end of the shoot and I have insurance haha. Anyone else have broken gear horror stories?

We have just released our first Real Estate Rap Video Title "Prices Going Up".  Our content is low right now on our YouTube Channel (our ideas are not), but in doing research before I launched The Get Smart Team's Channel, one thing stood out to me.  Most agents get less then 100 views on their videos.  In fact most were under 50.  One thing we decided not to do was advertise picture virtual tours on our Channel.  We felt like anything we post must either be creative, funny and/or high quality.  Anyways, we are just starting on our Journey, but will be filming Real Estate Rap Video #2 and have future skits in the works.  Let us know what you think!

As a real estate mutlimedia agent, I am working on incorporating authentic voices of the properties I represent. I urge them to tell me a story of the properties besides just describing them, though I am finding it challenging as it all depends on the questions we ask them. I am curious to hear what questions you ask your homeowners in helping them tell a narrative of their homes. In your opinion, what works and does not work in this video?
