Title--"Finding your purpose"

To me, the most important thing in life is answering this question - what is the reason I was created, what did God created me for? I know that I am not just a number, but I need to find God's purpose for my life. Jeremiah 10:23 “I know, Lord, that a person’s life is not his own. No one is able to plan his own course.” Prophet Jeremiah is acknowledging that a person’s life does not belong to him...He says that a person’s life is not his own and that no one is able to plan his course. God has had a plan for your life even before he put you in your mother's womb. He already has call for you - what you are going to be in this life, and that plan will not change. This happened to Jeremiah: he didn't want to be a prophet, but God told him this is what He called him to be, and the plan does not change! No wonder why he says, a person life does not belong to him." Let's see the scriptures: Jeremiah 1:5-8 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” “O Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I can’t speak for You! I’m too young!” The Lord replied, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the LORD, have spoken!” Can we see that God is the one who sets the course for our life... when God told prophet Jeremiah this is what I called you to be, he didn't jump up, and he wasn't so excited about it. God did say,"I will protect you, and tell you what to say.” Proverbs 20:24 How can we understand the road we travel? It is the Lord who directs our steps. Spend time with God, and ask God: “What did You create me for, what is my purpose here on earth?" If you do, God will tell you. Another example of this is Amos. Amos 7:14 But Amos replied, I'm not one of your professional prophets. I certainly never trained to be one. I'm just a shepherd, and I take care of fig trees. But the Lord called me away from my flock and told me, 'Go and prophesy to my people of Israel.’ Wow! This is an amazing scripture! Amos first said: “I not one of your professional prophets.” He did feel important, he was maybe comparing himself with prophet Jeremiah or Isaiah, but God didn't agree with him. God didn't say: “You are actually right! Let me use my professional prophets rather.” Nooooo! He told Amos: “Go and prophesy.” Amos was called by God to prophesy. It doesn't matter if there are great men of God doing great things for God because they cannot do what God called YOU to do. I think, the first thing a person should do is this: Stop comparing yourself with others Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray, that you will guide me into my promised land. Whatever You created me to be and to do here on earth, I believe your Holy Spirit will direct my steps. You will give me details on what I should do. I do not depend on the flesh, but I depend on your Spirit my father. Thank you Father, for guiding me and helping me in this life. I cannot do without You. Thank you for your sweet presence in my life, in Jesus name, Amen!
