Hello - I wanted to let you all know that as part of the work the NV Dept. of Ed has been doing over the past year +, we’re going to lose our NR21 twitter account. I’m sad to lose it, but all NDE departments & programs need to consolidate their accounts and will operate through the official NDE twitter account: @NevadaReady

As an extension of NDE, there are public meeting requirements, archiving concerns, rules for who you can/can’t follow, etc., so I understand why the changes are taking place.

BUT!! Please follow @NevadaReady and please keep posting your highlights to your regular twitter accounts & here in the Google+ community. We share these success stories and it’s more important than ever to do this during the 2019 legislative session. You’re awesome and we want the world to know it! Thank you & have a great week.

Mike

Hello everyone! I hope that you are all keeping warm and safe in this snowy weather. I would like to share that my phone let me know about the snowy days in Elko and Ely last week because it knew I had traveled to see you. It was a sweet reminder of my trip there last month!

For those of you who would like to view the presentations from our summit, here is a link to the presentations. Thank you again to all the presenters that gave of their time to share their knowledge and work at the NE NV Digital Learning Summit!

Many of you have met Lisa Evans, NR21 Performance Manager, during a visit to your school, or as part of one of our NR21 PD Summits. Lisa has been with the Nevada Ready 21 program from the very beginning and has helped us take your feedback to adapt the program to meet your needs. Among her many contributions, she’s also been your champion as we highlight your successes and advocate on your behalf to stakeholders across the state.

It is bittersweet for me to announce Lisa has accepted a position at University of Southern California that will take her away from her position with NR21. She’ll work with us behind the scenes to ensure a smooth transition as we welcome our new Performance Manager for the program, Jayne James.

Please join me in wishing Lisa good luck in her next endeavor. Thank you for all of your work on behalf of our teachers and students, Lisa. We’ll miss you very much!

Mike

Thank you Lisa for all of your hard work and dedication for all of our schools, students and employees. The Nevada Ready 21 grant truly flourished with your help and we all wish you success on your future endeavors.
