This very inexpensive irrigation system is really easy to setup and should last many seasons. Ideal for someone who is away alloy or really busy since your plants could be watered for a few days at a time. Smart!

I even have wall space in the kitchen for this setup! Nice!

The plan this year is to pickle what I can from the garden! Also, to pickle what I don't think I will use before it goes bad.

This article tells you (and me) how to pickle pretty much anything. (including peaches and strawberries!) Will keep you posted.

Homemade Mayo. Too easy, just takes 10 minutes.

You need: a room temp egg, a dollop of Dijon mustard, salt, 1 1/4 cup of veg oil (not olive) and a hand mixer (or lots of arm muscles!)

Mix everything into a bowl or cylinder (like in the pic) except for 1 cup of oil, and the juice of one lemon. Mix with the hand mixer, add the lemon juice and then slowly add the oil till the mixture looks like white Mayo. There you go, done!

I flavour my Mayo with garlic and chives for extra taste. Just add the flavouring in at the end and blend it again. You can eat it right away or wait a while (a day) and the whole Mayo will flavour.

So freeken' good!
