Just got to run my first game with Rogue Space and everyone had a blast!

We did get to wondering if we were getting the ship building mechanics correct though. It seemed odd that their ship with 10 Structure and 3 points of Howitzers had the same number of weapon batteries as a ship with 50 Structure and 15 points of Howitzers.

We started extrapolating what the best builds for a ship would be and it seemed like stacking hangars with small fighters would always beat a ship with the same structure but stacking Howitzers.

Here are the stats we made for the Carrier, Fighter, and Gunship. Launching 11 Fighters each with 3 batteries would mean 33 attack rolls for the Carrier while the Gunship gets only 5 attacks a turn. Are we missing something when it comes to ship building?
