QRP Night - Let's Do This!

I just saw this mentioned on W2LJ's blog and think it sounds like a great idea. It's being promoted as a group event for the night before Field Day. What a fine warm up for the big event!

Second Saturday Sprint Update

It's just one week until the season opener of the Second Saturday Sprint! Rules and FAQs have been updated to reflect a couple of changes since last season. Links to these two documents are in the left navigation under About Community. Here's the changes: 1) Everyone will now be operating at the same time - 1900-2100 UTC. 2) We will use qrpspots.com for self-spotting during the event.

The event is open for everyone to participate, but you can only submit an entry with a member number. If you don't already have your member number, just send an email with your name and call sign to qfo.sss@gmail.com. They're good for life so you don't need to request a new one each year, and they're free! If you've forgotten your number, there is a link to the member roster in the left navigation under About Community.

Don't forget that you can use contacts made in other contests for your Second Saturday Sprint entry. You just need to use the correct exchange for the other contest, and you need to be answering a CQ from a participant in the other contest. Check the FAQ for details.

Mark your calendars for next Saturday, May 13 - the fun begins at 1900 UTC.
