Stargate Command update (Free)
What’s it about? Stargate Command is an app for fans of the TV show Stargate: SG-1, with a new update that adds a dueling game that’s similar to Infinity Blade.
What’s cool? First off, the update to Stargate Command adds an in-app purchase for the 99-cent game “Teal’c’s Revenge,” which puts players in the role of the ass-kicking alien Teal’c from the show. The game has players face off against Jaffa baddies (those are the guys who war the Anubis helmets in the TV show and movie) by fighting them with his staff in a one-on-one duel. Players have to dodge and parry attacks before striking themselves in sword-fighting style. The app also contains another golfing mini-game, and a 3-D section that lets players walk around the Stargate Command center, investigating different props from the show and learning a little about each one.
Who’s it for? This is definitely an app geared toward fans – if you’re into Stargate: SG-1, you should spend a few minutes reminiscing (and beating down bad guys) with Stargate Command.
What’s it like? “Teal’c’s Revenge” draws a lot of inspiration from the Infinity Blade series, so try that if you want something similar.

Stargate Universe Virtual Season 3 Back Online!

Filed under: Books/ Comics, Television — 20 Comments

May 4, 2012

Remember Stargate Universe Virtual Season 3 I wrote about the other day?  Well it is back online in full (all 8 scripts) for free at Laurence Moroney’s website:  I guess whatever was going on behind the scenes didn’t work out.  That’s too bad but at least the scripts are back online for all to enjoy!
Here is his Facebook status update in regards to this:
‎”For those of you who are interested, the Virtual Season 3 of SGU is back online. It was taken offline for a very good reason, which I’ll disclose the full details of someday, but it’s back online for now…
Read it and see what might have been…”
Still, it provides great closure to a series that ended too soon.  Thanks for the effort Laurence, the fans appreciate it!

The MacGyver actor will play himself in the ABC sitcom - which also stars James Van Der Beek (Dawson's Creek) - according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The 62-year-old is the latest star to parody himself on the series, following appearances from Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Saved by the Bell), Frankie Muniz (Malcolm in the Middle), Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman) and Kevin Sorbo (Hercules: The Legendary Journeys).

In addition to his Stargate and MacGyver roles, Anderson has made recent appearances on NBC's Raising Hope and USA's Fairly Legal.

Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 has struggled in the ratings since its second season launched on ABC in October - the most recent episode hit a series ratings low of just 2.99 million viewers.

The new episodes will air on E4 in the UK in early 2013.
