The pianists Maksim Mrvica latest album. Recommend by the Croatian taxi driver. Contains "game of thrones" and will be interesting to hear when I came home, the difference with the interpretation of 2cellos guys.

Now we get yet another new CD format!

It is MQA encoded CDs. There are also sample disc with two discs a MQA and a pure CD. For making comparison..

My reaction of seeing a sample disc with 60 years old recordings that the big record lable is realising and also making all the old album available AGAIN.
That the do not want to push for SQ apparently.. ;)

It is nothing wrong with 60 year old recordings but if you want to premote Sound Quality than it is like saying that there has not been any SQ advancements since the introduktion of the R2R tape.. :D

Did you know that the depth of the pit in the track of a CD is also of importance.
Why, you may say?

The depth is 1/4 of the wave length of the red laser (780 NM). So the laser light that goes into the pit will travel 1/4 of a wave length and reflect back out of the pit that also take 1/4. And the total of in and out will give a 1/2 of the laser wave length and that will help out to cancel out the light when travel across the pit.. .. Maybe some CD lover found this interesting? :)
