’d love your input - especially if you own, have owned, or would like to start a consulting business. What webinar topics do you believe would best help consultants develop a thriving consulting business?  I've developed a short survey to gather input - http://bit.ly/1ov1BK9.  If you would be kind enough to take the survey - I'd greatly appreciate it.

With the input in hand, I'll find ideal experts and begin launching the websites.  I’ll be posting information about the webinars and other events focused on helping consultants to succeed - on Consultants-Network.org.

Thanks!
Dave

Admit it. You would really like to make your life easier. It can be done and hiring a virtual receptionist is the perfect place to start. Modern technology now permits many of the so-called receptionist-type duties to be completed by someone outside of the office. Say goodbye to the tasks that keep dragging you down and leave you wondering how to add time to the day. Follow the lead of the thousands of businesses that are thriving with virtual receptionists.

Are you a giver or a taker?

Success and satisfaction depend on who you are and on your style: how do you treat others? According to Adam Grant’s research, you could be one of three types in the workplace: a Taker, Giver, or Matcher. Which one are you? And how generous is your workplace culture?

Do you give genuine attention in your organization?

Here's food for thought on my blog:

Especially agree for small businesses who don't have a lot of cash to throw around from the start. Conversion is king. The only question worth addressing from your marketing efforts...Does it sell?

#CrisisGuru National Prediction # 1 for 2014
Conservatives will rue the day they called it "Obamacare"

I haven’t a clue as to whose idea this originally was, probably another one of Karl Rove’s bad ideas, but as millions and millions of Americans continue to sign up for affordable health care, the legislation will probably go down in history permanently as a monument to President Obama. This, of course, is thanks to the conservative idea to name something badly then pound on it hard enough to kill it. Kind of reminds you of the success of shutting down the government, doesn’t it?

Yoga Yamas (How to Treat Others):
1. Ahimsa: do not kill or hurt. Be compassionate.
2. Satya: don't lie. Be honest.
3. Asteya: non-stealing. Don't steal ideas, or flatter the numbers
4. Brahmacharya: moderation. Don't overdo with....
5. Aparigrache: non-attachment. Let go of some control or attachment to outcomes and ideas...

Have you diluted your brand? This is not uncommon for small and mid-size businesses in a challenging economy. Casting the net wide is the fall back reaction to bringing in the sales; but while it may address some short-term concerns, in the long run, this unfocused positioning is confusing to customers, staff and stakeholders, and the starting point for an identity crisis — at least a brand identity crisis.

One thing a lot of small to medium size businesses forget especially when it comes to branding online is that everything you share or that touches anyone outside your organization is a brand experience.
