Hi folks, LOTS of great links these last few weeks! Looking forward to seeing more. Below are the latest info on community rules, etc. (also found in the "About Community" button). Let your friends know about this community and feel free to share it!

That's Gameable Community Mission & Rules

MISSION:
To share non-RPG inspiration you've stumbled across that can be adapted for roleplaying games, creative writing, and more!

DO
○ Post news articles and resources that could be used for game inspiration.
○ Post other game-related resources that have value to RPG game masters and players.
○ Include a comment with your post about how it's "gameable!"
○ Post something that's not your own: it should be something that inspires you.*
○ Use common sense. Posts about recent tragedies without proper context will be removed.
○ Comment on other people's posts with ideas! We want to hear 'em!

DON'T
○ Post inappropriate content (i.e., irrelevant ads, nudity in the cover photo, etc.). Spammers will be banned.
○ Post published RPG products or art (your own or by others). There's plenty of other outlets online to do that.
○ Post directly to a PDF or other file, for safety reasons.
○ Just post links or images without a comment. Link dropping is not participating. Please provide context about how your find is "gameable."

ALWAYS
○ Keep it relevant. Keep it civil. Keep it real.

WANT TO BECOME A MEMBER?
Want to join That's Gameable? It's easy! Just be sure your profile says you're a real person (and not a spambot) interested in RPGs.

UPDATE YOUR PROFILE
We scan all profiles before accepting members. If we can't tell from your profile why you want to be here (e.g., you don't list any interest in roleplaying games or related hobby) -- or your profile is pretty much bare (no profile picture, posts, etc.) -- you look like a spammer and will not be admitted. So update your profile!

OR SEND US A MESSAGE
You also can send a private message to an admin to let us know you're a real person who wants to access the group. Thanks!

FAQs

WHAT'S GAMEABLE?
Gameable content is any found source material from outside the RPG community that could be used in tabletop game.

DID SOMEBODY MOVE MY POST?
Did you post already existing RPG content? Remember this group is about adapting non-RPG content for gameable use. Admins may also re-classify posts as needed, or levy a Joesky Tax [Google it] for posts that don't lend gameable commentary.

WHAT LANGUAGES ARE SUPPORTED?
While posts can come from all over the world, we'll be using English at this time as the language for making posts (since that what the admins speak/read). The actual material linked to does not need to be in English, but your post commentary does. Commentary that can't be read will be deleted.

CAN I POST SOMETHING FROM MY BLOG OR RPGNOW STORE?
An Original Content category was available as courtesy to longtime members. It has now been retired. That's Gameable is a community is specifically for found content that can be adapted for gaming purposes. There are plenty of other communities to post work created by nonprofessional RPGers. We want to see something out of the ordinary!

Thank you! Good Gaming! :-D

So, there's this story from Kalimantan, which is the Indonesian portion of Borneo:

' Local media reported that a 41-year-old man named Syarifuddin was bathing in a river in Berau, East Kalimantan - about 1,500 km north-east of Jakarta - when a two-meter long crocodile snatched him and took him further into the river.

A friend who was at the scene when the incident happened on Tuesday reported the accident to local police, but Syarifuddin could not be found. The next morning, local villagers asked for help from a "crocodile charmer".

After the charmer preformed a ritual, a crocodile appeared with a dead body in its mouth, leaving it near the riverbank, reports said. It is not known if the crocodile which delivered the body was the same crocodile which killed the man. '
