I'm happy to see that Barry Kauler is working on a new Linux Distribution called Easy OS. He's working steadily on upgrades and recently released Easy OS version 0.5. Easy OS is as Barry calls it "a a blend of the best ideas from Puppy and Quirky, and a fundamental rethink of the security, maintainability and ease-of-use"
You can download it here: http://distro.ibiblio.org/easyos/amd64/releases/xerus/0.5/
Here is the Easy OS part on his website: http://bkhome.org/easy/index.html

Found a version of Puppy called Carolina Edition. Definetly would recommend it.

I've been playing with tahrpup since yesterday. My goal is to create a re-spin integrated to cloud like chromeos. My inspiration came from cublinux and it's great. The only downside is you have to install it to try or use it. Unlike puppylinux, you always have your OS in your pocket when you need it. Anyway here's my initial result. As you can see not all icons are not yet replaced by faenza. Another issue is, google app launcher has been removed, so google chrome opens when the launcher is clicked, but it presents your chrome apps anyway. I hope my wife will like this one. This is for her online banking. Anyone interested? I can share this respin in a few days.
