In a couple of months we get the privilege to see Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice in theaters. People that know the comics, or those who read the last part of the title of that movie, know that this is the beginning of the justice league. I know what…

Utah Jazz - Why Gordon Hayward Will Be a Superstar

Gordon Hayward has commanded a lot of attention this season, and not from opposing defenses alone. Fans and analysts alike have been critical of his game, putting it under a microscope, especially considering he’s in the second year of a max deal. The…

Throughout the next week I will be ranking all 20 players on the Utah Jazz training camp roster at Purple and Blues.  Here is the first installment with players 20-16!
‘Tis the season for endless rankings. Sports Illustrated recently released their top 100 players in the NBA. Ben Golliver and Rob Mahoney did a great job with this difficult task. These are opinionated lists, so they can be highly scrutinized. Typical Utah Jazz fans seem to feel shafted by these types of lists, but in […]

What are the Jazz going to do without their starting point guard, Exum? I look at the different options, including trade ideas, rotation changes, and existing players who will have to step up.
Much has been written about the devastating injury that Utah Jazz point guard Dante Exum suffered. This is terrible news in all aspects. The biggest concern the Jazz have is making sure Exum gets proper treatment and support. This type of injury will take a lot of work to come back from, and Purple & […]

see how many jazz players made it
This list is my personal favorite. This is not by skill! You may not have heard of some of these guys before, but that's kind of why I like them. I am mainly writing this because I want to hear what you guys have to say, so p...

This is a little old but it gives a good look at the person who might be the future of the jazz
Joe Ingles was signed by the Utah Jazz after playing with the Clippers in the Pre-season. Not much was expected of the 27 year old rookie, who came from the Australian National Team. But Joe Ingles or "Jingles" as I call him ...

Who else agrees that the +Utah Jazz were screwed over by the refs on Monday? In #HouvsUta Also, I hated how the media made all #Jazz fans seem as though they were laser pointing menaces!!!

I agree that it would as long as that conversation has something to still do with the Jazz. Your conversation only wants to discuss the Warriors or Spurs as a separate entity! If your topic involved the Jazz then that would make sense, but it doesn't. So if we talk about the Warriors or Spurs and the Jazz are included that would be perfect, but in your scenario that is not the case.

It's too bad this community is so inactive. Google Plus is a much better platform than Twitter and Facebook.

I agree it's way better than most social media platforms so I don't understand why it doesn't get the credit it deserves

Heading into the 2015-16 NBA season, here's a look at the top 10 candidates to bring home the Defensive Player of the Year Award, including Rudy Gobert of the Utah #Jazz:
The NBA is constantly changing. This current wave of small-ball is no passing fad; it’s a new era of basketball, and the teams that learn how to perfect the art of pace-and-space are going to be the ones that have the best chance of capturing a championship. However, even as NBA offenses continue to evolve, […]

Last week we ranked players 20-16.  This week we are ranking players 15-11 on the Utah Jazz roster.  We've got stats, tweets, highlights, and hot takes.  Let us know what you think!

On today's edition of TIP OFF - Did SI slight Gordon Hayward with his ranking?  What players get the most open looks?  Might be surprised who makes and who doesn't.  Another example of changes Trey needs to make

The Utah #Jazz were never going to be players in free agency, but here's a look at what this young team added this summer with complete offseason grades:
Heading into the offseason, the Utah Jazz didn’t have much to accomplish. After trading away Enes Kanter, Quin Snyder’s squad emerged as the NBA’s top defense, smothering opponents to the tune of 94.8 points per 100 possessions — a full 4.6 points better than the next best team. With an identity based in youth and defense, […]

I gave the Jazz players Summer League grades and discussed how their play impacts their chances to secure a roster spot.  Check it out.
Summer league should be taken for what it is, glorified practice games. You cannot make many decisions on a player based off summer league. Players who thrive in summer league often amount to nothing in the NBA. For example, Jeffery Taylor was All-Summer League Team in 2013 and that same year Ian Clark won the […]
