WAKAN TANKA'S SON

A video montage by World of ZHI
English version
worldofzhi.org

The Great Spirit is called Wakan Tanka among the Sioux and Gitche Manitou.
Wakan Tanka is, according to Native American beliefs, the Great Spirit, Supreme Being, the Great Mystery.

Credits for the music, story, and video footage used to create this video montage are found at the end of the video.

I spent a long time looking for the right images that would fit what in my mind was a good interpretation of this legend.
The most difficult part in creating this montage was matching the text with the images. The horse, from the movie "The Silver Stallion", was perfect for this project, because there were many good scenes in the movie I could use to show the conversation he carried with the eagle, his frustration at the beginning etc.... At the time I was working on this montage, I was very new at it, and struggled trying to learn how to use my new video editing program. I needed to learn how to do special effects which added to this challenge for me.This was a very difficult project and I almost gave up several times, but I persisted and finished it.

 My latest montage
AUTUMN LEAVES Sung by Laura Fygi, video montage by World of ZHI - ZHI EZE
A video montage I created this summer about the autumn season which is  my favorite season. Laura Fygi's voice was what moved me to start working on this project. I truly enjoyed searching for video footage on YouTube to create this film. I wanted to create a sort of story not just show beautiful fall nature scenes. During my search, I was lucky to stumble on a perfume commercial by Kenzo with a woman at the beach which for me fitted perfectly with what I wanted to do here.
Enjoy!

French lyrics by Jacques Prévert
English lyrics by Johnny Mercer
Music by Joseph Kosma

The falling leaves drift by the window
The autumn leaves of red and gold
I see your lips, the summer kisses
The sun-burned hands I used to hold

Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

Enjoy the beauty of nature in this magnificent autumn season.

Here is a beautiful poem about love that touched me very much:

FEELINGS

I don't have the words to describe my feelings.
A woman, the last thing I think of before falling asleep.
A woman, the first thing I think of when I wake.
A woman, the image that passes before my mind's eye
in a moment of clarity.
A woman, the hands we hold,
the one thing I miss most.
A woman, the laughter that warms my heart and soul.
A woman, the perfume that invokes wonderful memories.
A woman, the love, the love, the embrace, the joy,
the wonderful joy.
