About local SEO, I'd like to know which tool are you using to control ranking on "Maps pack" in classics SERPs
Thank you ツ

I don't think Jerome is looking for a tool to "control" local pack results; he seems to want a tool that will help him identify if his properties are ranking.

I use Authority Labs - it is excellent for geo specific rank tracking and can detect local map pack rankings as well.

+John Romaine , what's your average rank position? Based on GWT data and using the now outdated "starred" search phrases (ones that are good lead source phrases) we 'used to' give our clients this, solely because of their fascination with rank. If you can't beat the rank fixation out of them, best you stop trying. Give them what they want, while making sure they know what you have achieved that really makes more business sense, and keep the rank indicator in there just to soothe their ego itch.

I'm looking to do some audits for some of my clients for mobile SEO. I always find it best to be as visual as possible in my presentations. I've searched for a while now on anything that will show tap target size on a mobile website, but have come up empty handed. Anyone know of a tool that will show tap target sizes for any given website?

I have. I've read through Android's as well. I was hoping for a website that would show the tap targets overlaid on top of the mobile site so you could visually see where the problem is, but it was probably too detailed of a wish.

Is anyone using AWR Cloud and seeing inconsistent results? I know KW tracking tools aren't exactly going to be accurate all the time, but I'm getting results that are way out on a daily basis. Gets me excited, then I manually check and realise it's wrong!

Does anyone know a good cheaper alternative to Linkquidator/software that helps to identify critical and poor quality links?

the only software really suited are Majestic and GWT to get the URLs to review... all the tools are useless and will make the job harder not easier. I have tried them all... monitoring and tracking tools are much better and in the day and age when any fool can do negative SEO (there were skill level  barriers in the past ) you should be monitoring incoming links monthly...a good program should do that and manage a disavow file.

Hi All,

Does anyone know of any tools I can use to look at overall rankings and number of keywords ranking for an individual page.

I have a pinterest page that is doing really well and have seen it show up for a few half decent search terms, but I want to see if it is ranking for anything else I haven't picked up and want to see how it is progressing over time.

What I would love to find is something like SEM rush's organic position data but on the individual page level instead of for the overall domain.

Any ideas?

Majestic has included their recent "Topical Trust Flow" metric in raw exports, as of yesterday. Now you can segment every individual backlink by topical category - really fantastic stuff. Incredibly useful for insightful competitor analysis.
We have now been able to include the primary Topic score for every inbound link to a site or page in the raw download report. It appears in columns “S” and “T” of the export. Here’s a quick snapshot of an export based on my personal site, with the links sorted by the primary Topical …

The Majestic topical trust flow is a really interesting feature for backlink analysis.

I am still finding the categories they are picking to be a bit off atm.

I was talking to Dixon Jones about it at Brighton SEO last week and he said they only have something like 800 categories right now but it should become even more relevant as they add more categories and get more feedback on the topical trust flow.

Hi, I'm reading #GWT report "Search Queries > Landing Pages".
Like you can see in image, the number of click in the page row (74) is really bigger then the sum of click of every keyword (6).

All keywords for that pages has 0 clicks.
What do you think about?

Question:
What web scraper do you use to collect information from web pages?

I want to speed up a (manual) process of noting down some events and conferences (information like dates, venue, organisers), and I am hoping some one can suggest a tool that will do this.

Unfortunately, the scrapers seem to rank higher in the search than mine. It should be the other way around but I guess Google doesn't care much about original content anymore.

Two news for you
Hi my SEO friendy, I create a little bookmarklet to show CTR in GWT LP report:
https://medium.com/@merlinox/add-ctr-in-gwt-lp-query-report-3a472d5c6652

Second news: I add Google Trends "correlation" in #SuggestMrx. If you want to try it you can use tool setting "correlate" in domain field.

What do you think about?
Thanks

UK Guys -

I'm thinking of getting SEMRush (or at least trying to convince my boss to subscribe to it) for tracking client keywords and researching competitors keywords, but wondered whether you've had good results with it. For me the results seem to be less consistent and reliable (search volumes are off) for the UK. Not all the time but occasionally. Other than that I love it.

One thing I love about semRUSH that I haven't been able to set up usefully with other tools in the past is the ability to monitor a site's ranks weekly compared with a list of nominated competitors.

Disclosing that semRUSH lends me a gratis copy along with the rest of the DSQ panelists, and also that I probably wasn't smart enough to properly set up a similar report with other service providers that offer a feature close to this. :)

Any recommendations for alternatives to Pingdom for monitoring website status (i.e. is it down?)

Robotto.org - it hooks in with GA and GWT and the level of detail is great.

Another tidbit from Google Webmaster Tools. The image is a screenshot about query report of GWT in Google Analytics: a period compare.
Like you can see there are 2 different keys with average position in 2 time period.

Key1: From 1,0 to 1,0 the change is 50%.
Key2: From 1,0 to 1,0 the change is -85.71%.

Can anyone share a sample of Moz/OSE and Ahrefs backlink report files?

I just need the column names, not the actual data.

I just finished integrating Majestic SEO and Google Webmaster Tools in my SEO Tool, and I want to integrate other backlink data software too.

If anyone wants to test it out and give me feedback, let me know.

Thank you.
