Is that something different than Xampp? I have Xampp installed but I also had MySQL workbench installed so I had to disable the MySQL that wasn't part of Xampp in services to get Xampp's MySQL to run.

Hi guys , i'm trying to pull out the informations between two tags <virtualhost *:80> and </virtualhost> and organize it inside in array like this :

Array
(
    [0] => Array
        (
            [ServerName] => foo.com
            [ServerAlias] => stage.foo.com new.foo.com
            [DocumentRoot] => /var/www/foo.com
        )

    [1] => Array
        (
            [ServerName] => bar.com
            [ServerAlias] => store.bar.com
            [DocumentRoot] => /var/www/bar.com
        )
)

so far i'm blocked here :

<?php

$vhost="";
$array = array();
$handle = fopen("default", "r");
while (!feof($handle)) {

    $buffer = fgets($handle) ;

    $start = "<VirtualHost *:80>";
    $end = "</VirtualHost>";
    $string_start = stripos($buffer, $start);
    $string_end = stripos($buffer, $end);

    $vhost .= $buffer;

    if ($string_start !== false) {
        $vhost = $buffer;
    }
    if ($string_end !== false) {
        $array[]=$vhost;
    }
}

fclose($handle);

print_r($array);

?>

the output that i have now is:
Array
(
    [0] => <VirtualHost *:80>
  ServerName foo.com
  ServerAlias stage.foo.com new.foo.com
  DocumentRoot /var/www/foo.com
</VirtualHost>

    [1] => <VirtualHost *:80>
  ServerName bar.com
  ServerAlias store.bar.com
  #ServerAlias new.bar.com us.bar.com
  DocumentRoot /var/www/bar.com
</VirtualHost>

    [2] => <VirtualHost *:80>
  ServerName bar.com
  ServerAlias store.bar.com
  #ServerAlias new.bar.com us.bar.com
  DocumentRoot /var/www/bar.com
</VirtualHost>

how can i continue ?

thanks

i am reading a book on php. i am in the section on uploading files and such and i had a question on something.

the book says for file uploading you need this line in a form,
<input type="hidden" name="MAX_FILE_SIZE" value="1000000" />
and that this line is hackable. so i was wondering since this can be modified by the user. can i check it in the form processing?
can i run a a check on it to see if it has been changed. if so whould i call it like $_POST['MAX_FILE_SIZE'] and this would return 1000000. i could then write a simple if() statement to check the value?
