So, thanks to Leanne I was able to catch an earlier rain and get to Sydney 40m earlier.

I bought some drinks and made my way to ABC Studios. Bumped into Norrie met Glen and Lisa Lush for the first time in the queue. Had to wait 20m before getting in, some folk had to hand in their bags. We waited for a while and then formed a second crew, and discovered that the audience seating had been OVERBOOKED.

Apparently they book more people than there are seats, in case of cancellations, but everybody showed. We happened to be at the end of the 2nd queue, even though we'd been we'd been in the middle of the first one. I was sitting down because of my knees, and every previous time I'd been to Whovians there'd been seats for all.

I WAS MIGHTILY PISSED OFF, having come down from Newcastle for the event. After a dogsbody came out to apologise, we saw someone who could make a decision and just over a dozen of us us ended up in the Green Room (which is mostly beige). One woman who'd brought he three children in (it was school holidays) was able to get in the studio. They'd be in school next week so that was a good thing.

Anyway, we watched the Doctor Who episode, and then the taping of Whovians in the green room. Norrie and Glen left after the episode, but Lisa and I stayed and watched the taping (and all of us were even referred as "the other room"). I was distracted watching the episode by comments & noises in the room next door, but it was fun watching the episode with Lisa. Afterwards we were invited into the studio for an after taping session, and everyone left in the green room got a VIP pass for the next time we attend.

So, didn't work out the way I expected , but it WAS fun and I've made a new friend. I think I might book for the finale in 12/13 weeks time.

Off to be in the WHOVIAN studio audience today. Leanne's giving me a lift to the station so I don't miss the train down to Sydney, and will be here in just over an hour.

Looking forward to this, A LOT!

I wonder if the ABC will broadcast it that day as well?

The ABC have started showing Doctor Who repeats on weekdays, starting from "The Magician's Apprentice" (twice a day, early mornings and late afternoon). Earlier this year we saw repeats up to the end of this season, so this suggests to me that it's timed so that by the time we see "Twice upon a Time", the new series broadcasting will start the following weekend.

The countdown is on!

That's only fair. Capaldi's first episode was extra long as well, and appeared here in the cinema!
