I will be working during this school year to strategically provide a weekly briefing every Monday featuring EdBITS (Education Business & Information Technology Stories) that I post on our website during the prior week. Our first set of EdBITS feature the following:
*New School Year Welcome - Business & Information Technology Education
*Save the Dates for 2017-18
*Wisconsin FBLA is Ready to "Elevate Your Future"
*Submit Your CTE Presidential Scholars
*NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing 2017
*Work-Based Learning is Trending in Wisconsin

I found a great private facebook page that shares ideas on keyboarding, coding, and basically anything that relates to students and education. I highly suggest checking it out!

Technology Teacher Tribe With Brittany Washburn

I am looking to add more projects to my Web 2.0 class. Does anyone have anything to share that the students really enjoy? I am no longer able to do any audacity projects due to district concerns about how kids are obtaining the sound files they are using. We are only able to use free tools

Hello everyone!

I am a new business teacher (and first year teacher) and I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me with three things or some good sources for them.

Does anyone have a good set of powerpoints for personnel finance general curriculum that I would be able to use?

Does anyone have good ideas for supplemental activities or additional resources for the cengage accounting course?

Finally, does anyone have some good suggestions for 7th grade exploratory. Im covering some basic economic concepts for 6th graders and working with 7 habits of highly effective teens with the 8th grade.

Have an awesome day
Zack

I'm teaching 6th grade keyboarding and I have them for one quarter. Students are coming in with bad habits and having prior instruction with little or no regard to correct technique. The district is using a free online program with I am not happy with. The district is not saying no to purchasing a program but it would have to be convincing due to budget cuts for next year. I'd like to know what programs you feel free or otherwise that you have good success with at the middle school level.

Hello! I am wondering about what activities and events people are doing with their FBLA and NBHS groups OTHER than competition. Do you have anything you could share? We have a very large group this year and I am looking for ideas.
