Thanks +Beck Anstee for providing a Paleo perspective for +Ellen Jean Hirst 's recent article on snacking.  I missed this earlier, but just saw the Red Eye version today as I was hopping on the train.

Derrick Rose is mentioned below.  He's not exactly Paleo, but he did cut way back on sugar, trying to speed his healing process.

+Robb Wolf is quoted, said something I found a little odd.  From the article -- "Around 2009, Wolf said Google search volume for the Paleo diet was doubling every 18 months. Now, it's doubling every three or four weeks – but it's still a fringe lifestyle."  When I look at Google Trends, I don't see this kind of growth around Paleo search terms.

+Xavier Anthony Apostol  - I think it's here to stay because 1) Community 2) Focus on pasture-raised local food 3) Other lifestyle factors that most others seem to forget 4) Authors like +Denise Minger  who will save Paleo from turning into a religion. I'll throw in +Chris Kresser  too as his book seems to be semi similar to +Paul Jaminet

Change the way you train. Gym, barbell, fluorescent lighting? Break free. How often do you expose yourself to "Hard Nature" as Wim Hoff describes? This exposure to nature provides the body and brain with immense sensory input, increasing the demand on the nervous system and placing a greater load on your mind and body. Try it yourself or join me this Saturday (http://wintermovement.bpt.me/)

One of my favorite videos representing the mass quantity of nutrition of the Paleo diet when used correctly. When people see Dr. Wahls discuss the importance of NUTRIENTS and how integral they are to our system's function, they will have no choice to but to agree. There is no need to discuss anything else: low carb, meat, vegan, pork, insulin, fasting, etc...  Simply stated this way of eating is rich with nutrients, which the body needs. Its a blast from the past but always good to review.

If you cannot make it to a full movement retreat in Cabo, join me for a two hour winter lifting workshop in the woods of Chicago on December 7th, 10-12pm. We will lift logs, stones, and people. We will balance and turn with heavy loads. Winter is time to focus on strength gains.

Hi all, I'm looking for a PCP with knowledge of Paleo. I've checked both Paleo Physicians Network and Primal Docs and only find Chiropractors or people who do not accept my insurance. I'm wondering if any of you have a doctor that you recommend who may not be listed. I live in the southwest suburbs but am willing to travel into the city if I need to.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Ok, I'm going to try one more source. I have heard so many good things about Dr. Fred Shultz in Wheaton- but I don't think he takes any insurance, is super expensive, and has a crazy long waiting list. Anyways, this page was from his website of other docs he recommends. No idea where they all are, if they are in your network, and it might be tedious to figure it out- but here's the list- http://www.drfredschultz.com/resourcelinks.html good luck!

I know bulletproof coffee is a fav among paleo people. I've done egg and coconut oil and GF butter for years now. I just added 1TBL MCT oil alone and with Coconut oil.  How is MCT anything more than a laxative? It also is super greasy - doesn't emulsify well.  Give me some of your own opinions, not ones you've read.  Looking for insight from experience. Thanks peeps.

I have tried all 3. Coconut oil, MCT and C8MCT. There is a great deal of difference for me. All 3 give me energy. Coconut oil fills me up. MCT is a kick in the pants. C8MCT is like in limitless.
