I am looking for a fellow music teacher to help me evaluate my elementary music classes.  I have a couple of rubrics and would like to share them with you and see if you would mind hooking up with one of my classes.  If you have a class that could perform for us, I would like to have my students evaluate yours using the same rubrics if possible.  I teach K-8 in Grethel, KY.  If you are interested, please email me at walter.ord@floyd.kyschools.us. Thank you!

Hey Everyone! Sorry for being MIA about the Teacher/Mentor Hangouts for the past several weeks. We are 3 weeks into the new school year, and I just started grad school this past week, so life has been hectic! However, in the process, I met this wonderful teacher mentor, Sharon, and she has a phenomenal website that I thought I'd share with you all. ^_^ I've browsed through her posts, and I find them all interesting and directly relevant/useful in the classroom. Enjoy!!

I am going to be piloting Google Login for a Third Grade Classroom this coming year... Any suggestions on management?

New Teacher Mentor Hangout starts in 10 minutes!! I'm so excited!

1.5 more hours before the New Teacher/Mentor Google Hangout!! I'm so excited to connect with you all!!

The first meeting for New Teacher/Mentor Hangouts is exactly a week away! I also found this article on-line and thought it would be very helpful for anyone thinking about classroom procedures and routines. :)

Are we over decorating our classrooms?

I'm revamping my classroom management this year. Is anyone interested in a Google Hangout about classroom management with intrinsic motivation? No points, charts, clips. My school is changing the classroom culture to be more aligned with The Pacific Institute. I have some fun ideas and have talked to teachers at my school, but I'd love to bounce ideas around with other teachers.
