On the banks of Ichamati River, by the border between neighboring nations of India and Bangladesh, remains a city in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, named 'Bangaon' (বনগাঁ).

This coming Sunday, i.e., on 25th February, West Bengal Local Guides will be hosting its next meetup event in this city from 1:30 pm onward.

On this occasion, we invite every contributor from the Google Local Guides program of West Bengal to attend this event - Local Guides Meet up - World Wide Photowalk Bongaon (https://www.facebook.com/events/338884683284867) and make it a success! 🤗

We'll be starting from the Bangaon Junction railway station on given time sharp.

Day 9: Feb 2, 2018
Mulanthuruthy Meet-Up Kerala

Mulanthuruthy is a small peaceful town located about 1 hour's bus journey from Ernakulam. It's also a place with some peaceful lake side locations, beautiful old churches and other attractions.

Our meet up in Mulanthuruthy was hosted by Varghese Jose +Varghese Jose , and today he had arranged a more educational event for sharing his knowledge about Local Guides and other Google solutions with new members. Our meet up was held in a friend's convention room.

We had over 30 participants joining the meet up and it was amazing to be able to share with them all things Local Guides and Google. Many of them were really surprised to learn all the free to use tools from Google like Google Maps, Photos, Drive and more. And it session had absolutely benefited each of them. Even veteran members were keen to start using these after our session.

We had tea and more time to get to know each other after the event, and it was just an amazing time finding out how much technology and cloud can help in the daily lives of people, even in smaller townships. Today was a great thing, out of the over 30 participants, over 20 just registered as Local Guides. Thanks to Varghese as a community leader there.

This is just my very short experience for the event in Mulanthuruthy. Varghese our host will write a more comprehensive Recap in LG Connect in a few days.
