I just began starting to figure out weechat, and a lil IRC in general. I LOVE weechat and ncurses!
I actually want to use the ncurses library in the future to build my own apps. Learning C is hard yes/no?

Hi, if you want to use weechat from your Android phone or tablet, there is now an updated package available in the Termux (http://termux.com) app!
After installing the app, execute 'apt update && apt install weechat' to install the weechat package and then run weechat normally. I tested that ssl support and unicode characters work, but let me know if you find any issue!

How to integrate twitter without bitlbee
apt-get yum pacman etc install python-pip
sudo pip install twitter
launch twitter in CLI and paste in auth code
in weechat
to tweet ..
/shell -o twitter set <tweet goes here>
to see timeline ..
/shell -o twitter friends
to see DM's
/shell -o twitter replies
or just make alises
Iv'e not figured how to get timeline in realtime, but maybe that's not such a good idea anyways.

Running weechat in tmux, but since rebooting the server last, something seems to be corrupting the display. It seems that new lines aren't always pushing the scrollback, often ending up overwriting previous lines instead?
Similarly, the statusbar background doesn't extend until the screen end.
Any idea how to debug these problems?

How does weechat decide where new buffers will be opened? I have auto_renumber off, and buffer_position set to end.
However, when I get a new query in bitlbee, it ends up opening buffer #8, pushing the existing 8-18 buffers +1. I'd have expected it to either add in the first gap (19), or after the last buffer (70).
Is this a bug, or am I misunderstanding how it should work?
