Anybody wondering why it’s a bad idea to append to lists, when using immutable data? I took a crack at explaining it visually on the Hello World Show Live, recorded at DevConf Poland. Check out that section at https://www.youtube.com/embed/c-hdGBDD_9I?start=1792&end=2058 and let me know what you think . I’m intending to make it a much better lightning talk I can do at meetups, conferences, etc. (This one was almost totally unrehearsed due to time constraints.)

(Yes the image is static for a while at the start. Hang on. Had a bit of a momentary snag with the slides later in, but got past it. And no, that’s not me in the preview.)

I just had a discussion at work last week about the exact same idea. And overwhelmingly the reaction was "nah, that won't work". Kent Beck also thought that but had a different experience.

My talk "Write Better Software with ACRUMEN" from http://DevConf.pl 2018 is now live at http://bit.ly/acrumen-from-devconf-poland-2018!

Granted, it's not strictly about TDD, but I do mention how testing helps with each of the six aspects, and there's some stuff about writing some tests before coding (to verify it's doing what the stakeholders want), which kinda implies TDD... or at least BDD (which I consider a difference mainly of level)....

Many developers skip the unit testing part thinking that it is a time consuming process. But doing unit testing with #TDD process is very helpful in writing clean code. This blog is very helpful to understand the TDD process and unit testing. Also, it has three interviews on TDD from well known software consultants
