HI everyone, I'm new here and new to google+ too. Just wanted to introduce myself. I am a Learning and Support Teacher in a mainstream primary school in NSW, Australia. I have a 9 year old son Cal who has CP and who has used a range of different technology - dynavox maestro, tobii i12 eyegaze, tobii dynavox Indi, ipad. We are yet to find the best fit for Cal with assistive technology to access the curriculum at school and after spending 3 days of training with +Bev Babbage I am keen to explore the options of accessibility with iPads / Mac computers using switch. Keen to make contact with +Gai Cross, +Riley Saban and +Christopher Hill to find out more info. Thanks in advance

I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on Google extensions that would make up a good universal design "Toolkit" for my district. We are in the process of rolling out Chromebook devices for grades 3-12. In talking with my Special Education Department, it seems like it would make sense to look at this from a UDL standpoint and have these tools available to students if they need them. This way, general education students can access these tools too.

At this point, I don't have the resources to buy any of the extensions that I would like to, such as Read and Write from Text Help or any of the Don Johnston products but I was hoping I could get some suggestions for free extensions that can do some of the same things (e.g. word prediction, translation, text to speech).

Thank you for your time! I am going to be meeting with IT soon and any of your ideas would be much appreciated!
