New Pixel XL nasty discovery:

I have had this Pixel XL 128GB since a bit more than 1 year, got it brand new from.the Google Play Store.

Since a few weeks ago, it started randomly freezing and rebooting itself.

It seems to be storage/memory related once it gets to 30 to 40% storage memory full (photos,music,videos,ebooks,docs...).
I have confirmed this by downloading many movies and keeping them on the device, it consistently freezes and and reboots around 35% of used storage out of its 128GB

This is absolutely unacceptable for a device such as this one and its successors Pixel 2 XL a 3 XL.

It has been already reported anf documented in the support forums: https://support.google.com/pixelphone/forum/AAAAb4-OgUsZ1zs71de3Io/?hl=by

Who has experienced something similar on your OG Pixel XL and/or has been able to reproduce this behavior by filling up the storage space of your device ?

Thanks for your comments.

Google fi now works on most popular phones. Doesn't matter if you live in the US or outside, it's a great option to stay connected while traveling.

What it offers: you get unlimited calls and texts to US while in US. Outside the US, you pay flat $0.20 per minute for any call or text. Data is $10 per GB across 190 countries, called to $60. Apart from that, you pay $20 per month rental.

The best thing about this service is that you can pause it anytime. So if you want to use it only while outside your home country, that also works.

While you can only activate inside the US officially, that's not actually true. You can activate it from outside the US as well, I was able to do it with their help desk support.

If you live outside the US, you can use one of the package forwarding services like shoptheus.com, myus.com,etc to get the sim card shipped to you. You can also get upto 9 data sims that you can use in your other devices or for your co-travellers.

Sign up for the service on this link https://g.co/fi/r/624A37 or use the referral code 624A37 and you'll get $20 credit once you've been active for 30 days.

Hello friends, this is already the second glass film that I applied on my Pixel 2 XL. And what I realize when looking at the screen, is that the black levels are decreased, giving the place to the gray (bright) tint, looking like I'm using a device with an IPS screen. That last movie I bought on Amazon from Amfilm with micro points. I wonder if anyone uses those malleable films with liquid application, it keeps the black tint of the P-OLED screen faithful.

Hello friends, I made a 30fps recording in quick scene. And I noticed that the brilliance was throbbing mostly in the sky. Would that be a flaw in the Pixel 2 XL camera software? From what I've noticed it seems like an alternation of exposure.
