I have a fundamental question: How much knowledge of As-is and To-Be business processes should you expect a prospective Change Manager / Coordinator to have to conduct a CM Program to implement new (lean) business process and enabling IT Solution?

For example, a Prosci certified Change Manager can advise on the ADKAR process but can they really be effective without knowledge of impacted business processes and practices?

I just read a news item that the consumer version of Google+ is shutting down after disclosing they had a large data breach earlier this year. Reportedly, the shutdown will occur between now and next August but Google did not give any further details on when different parts of Google+ were shutting down. In response, I am starting to consolidate my change management activities into the “Change Management Academy” (training focused, especially for those lacking formal org-change classes).

Unfortunately, LikedIn’s “New Groups” has many problems at this time that limit its usefulness for training. So, to hedge my bets, I have started a parallel site on Facebook.
