This video will INSPIRE you!
VERY proud of each of my students for taking on M.A.D (Making A Difference) projects to make their lives and the lives of others better! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=re9GPpMzg1o
They are now hoping that 100 teachers will commit to doing M.A.D projects with their classes during the next school year and challenge more classes to do the same. Let's empower our students to make their world a better place. All resources (including certificates, templates, models and inspirational videos) are included for free! Join our M.A.D team and add your name to our M.A.D map! https://mrcshareseaseblog.wordpress.com/2016/04/09/my-class-has-gone-m-a-d/ …

My class has untaken a project that is teaching them how to make the world a better place! The journey has been rewarding and the results... INCREDIBLE! We will be showcasing our projects at our first annual M.A.D (Make A Difference) Fair in April. We are hoping that 100 schools throughout the world will join our Make A difference Campaign! It's easy! This can be done as a whole school, as a class, in pairs on individually! All the resources (including a Make A Difference journal, letters to go home, student exemplars and our class blog) can be found by visiting https://mrcshareseaseblog.wordpress.com/were-going-m-a-d/
Please let our class know you'll be taking on our M.A.D challenge and encourage, challenge and inspire classes to do the same! Let's teach our students how to make their world an even better place!

I'm new to the world of 20% time in education.  I've been reading all I can this summer with the hope of implementing it next year!  Wrote a bit on my reflections and foray into 20% time.

Students generated #20Time ideas today. I came up with the steps last night and I am happy that it went well. I am having such a great time with 20% Time. http://wranatomy20timeproject.blogspot.com

Karl, I love ALL of their ideas - I think you've got a ton to work with here... Maybe you could ask students to organize them into categories, or prioritize them... Some are way more lofty than others - what if they organized them by length of time? IDK, but it's a great idea to share this video with teachers!

I teach in a block schedule and I teach Anatomy/Physiology. I have talked about 20% Time to my classes to get them to begin investigating what it is. Next week I begin with the introduction and ideas. I started working on my site for my 20% Time today putting my handouts and calendar. You are more than welcome to check it out and give me feedback. http://wranatomyclass.weebly.com/20-time.html
Thanks

Students Deserve Better - #20Time  and #Geniushour  are the start of great things!  - http://youtu.be/tl3DKuj2BFA

I am looking to start 20% time with my Junior American Lit classes this semester. They also have to write a research paper this semester. I would like to do the 20% time as  the research time for the paper. Has anyone done 20% time this way? It appears that many of the outcomes are TED style talks and blogs. I am not opposed to either, but I want to make their time count as work towards the essay as well. This is m y second year teaching so this may be a no brainer to some of you. Thanks for your feedback.
