As I see the situation, in very broad terms, the deterioration in our culture has its roots in inherent failings in how we organize to govern ourselves. Our government has been taken over, as all similar organizations inevitably are, by malevolent powers seeking simply to exploit we “common” people to further enrich themselves. And this they are doing ever more successfully.
Briefly then; government, as we are currently coerced to accept and practice it, is the problem.
I see a necessity for three fixes:
We must “fix” the personal ideas and values which govern our practice of relationship and community. Think free will, personal accountability, loving (accepting) our neighbours and the inseparable inter-connectedness of all.
We must devise improved forms of minimal governance; sufficient for security and dispute resolution but incorporating a feedback system which will maintain control at the grass-roots.
And we must learn to organize and implement self-reliant communities in order to restore the provision of the necessities of life to our own local control; while at the same time freeing us from dependency on parasitic and domineering government.
As you can perhaps sense I have been thinking of these ideas for some time. But my mind is far from closed. I know there are problems and rather than sitting hopelessly by I would like to be engaged in a program that I can believe would help. I believe I am open to reasoned proposals which might work.
One thing. I am certain that whatever might have a chance of success will require agreement, a common vision and coordinated effort.
