Model R 730

In 1959, the Model R tractor was upgraded with the 730 model and quickly became favorite among tractor-pull and restoration enthusiasts because of its weight, power, and slow speed. The 730 was available in diesel, gasoline, and LPG, as well as in row crop tricycle.

+Jason Richardson Btw, great looking tractor! No, they are not. However, the pedestal was changed slightly after 1947 to allow for enough clearance for the ROM.  If you look at your 44, you'll see there's not much clearance between the tires and the bottom of the tractor.  The parts manual says you need the newer pedestal for the ROM to work--although I'm not sure exactly what would happen if you tried it on the older style....

We had the opportunity to sit down with Dale VanSlyke, location manager of the Harrisonville, Missouri Heritage Tractor store, to better understand what it takes to successfully operate a John Deere dealership.

Got the lights working on the A. They made it harder to run the wires on that thing then they should have...

I hope everyone is having a good winter.  Here's a photo of the 4020 feeding cattle, taken 1/13/14.
