Looking for someone to configure, compile and test out the code on my local work station.

How i can download and install the Ryzom core engine?

Is there any audio included in Ryzom Core or would the audio have to be created?

Hi everyone. I'm a beginner and I started to try to set up ryzom core (using this tutorial: http://dl.kaetemi.be/ryzom/rc_gamedata_009.pdf).

Than I tryed to start the World Editor (this tutorial: https://ryzomcore.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RC/pages/884846/Using+the+World+Editor).

But everytime I launch the .exe I got the error message: "can't open the file world_editor_classes.xml for reading"

I know its may be hard to find out what I've done wrong, but I hope you can help me :)

.. Day 28 of the continuing saga "I think I will contribute something to Ryzom Game"
I finally got about 158 of the projects to compile and the development client and server talk to each other now. I can make simple changes to the dev server data and see them when I play the Dev game.

I just started on the first tutorial (https://ryzomcore.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RC/pages/884934/Add+Armor+Part+Item) but the newly compiled application "make_sheet_id.exe" throws exceptions. I will try to download pre-compiled binaries somewhere?

Day 7 of "The Saga of Trying to set up the dev environment."

The supplied code compiles fairly easily if you install all of the dependencies and fix any errors that Visual Studio gives you but the real problems start when you try to start a development server. The Linux server doesn't communicate with the client at all (like it is not there). The Windows server runs OK (after copying the SQL tables manually) but I always get a:
CHttpClient::receive : Received CLOSE 220 bytes
2017/06/11 19:58:29 INF 2950 ryzom_client_r.exe login.cpp 2681 checkLogin : Received request login check
2017/06/11 19:58:29 WRN 2950 ryzom_client_r.exe login.cpp 2699 checkLogin : <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<html><head>
<title>403 Forbidden</title>
</head><body>
<h1>Forbidden</h1>
<p>You don't have permission to access /login/r2_login.php
on this server.</p>
</body></html>

It doesn't matter what permissions I give the server files or even if I put them on c: drive.

Must to learn patience.

I am looking into packaging the client into Fedora linux, but I heard of story that only official build is able to connect to the official game server (I knew it can connect to the open shard). Ican't just package pre-build binaries in to fedora due to package policy, I need to build it from source and pack files from there. How do I suppose to do here?

I notice the Ryzom Core website has tons of broken links. The download page where it shows the links for the Windows clients and completely broken. Where do you get the client now, the one to connect to the Ryzom open source core?
