The Gavinburn nursery children have been using their chrome tab to practice
writing numbers . Using the tab lets the children save and evaluate their own work and as it saves on the google drive it makes it easier for staff to share and track the children’s progress .

Looking for a collaborator for a chat bot concept project

I've recently started exploring Google's Dialogflow service. This allows you to create chat bots and conversational interfaces that can be integrated into a number of services or just embedded in a website. Dialogflow makes it really easy to create bots/agents by using training phrases which you then identify the entities you want to extract and use.

The particular aspect of this I want to explore is how Google Sheets can be used to train your bot/agent with training phrases. To make this relevant I was looking to work with someone that might already use Google Forms to collect free text responses. I would provide the coding grunt and you might end up with something useful at the end, but no guarantees.

If interested in finding out more feel free to leave a comment or email me m.hawksey@gmail.com

P7D were supporting each other in their writing today. They used an online thesaurus to gather some terrific vocabulary for their character diary entry. They then created a word cloud using 'mentimeter', which they all used as wrote. 💻📝 #Chromebooks

In case you missed it, two great new accessibility features. 1) Docked Magnifier and 2) Closed Captions on Google Slides, this is BIG news. As you present your microphone will pick up your words and display as captions! Accessibility Slide Deck here with built in videos for both features. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Cipy9eZWHh96ehYVVh9S30bDulrd8P--TeqBdMoHIuk/edit?usp=sharing Blog Post about Closed Captions here: https://www.blog.google/outreach-initiatives/accessibility/whats-you-say-present-captions-google-slides/

P7H at Gavinburn Primary were using the Acer class tablet to present their listening and talking presentations today. Their google slides were on the tablet and then mirrored onto the interactive board.

Anyone had success/experience accessing Scholar Online Tutor sessions on Chromebooks? It runs on Adobe Connect so theoretically all you need to do is allow flash, but we've got pupils testing it for a session this evening who can't get it to recognise that they have allowed it. Have tested it on Windows OS and operating fine.

(I don't actually teach a Scholar supported subject, but imagine some people here do and will be able to answer my question easily!) Thanks in advance!
