Course description:
This online course is created to assist science teachers and any people interested in science education in incorporating the use of online labs and supportive inquiry learning apps into their teaching and learning activities. After completing this course, you will know how to create complete inquiry learning scenarios suitable for different subject domains and how to implement these scenarios in a digital learning environment. We will introduce you to the Go-Lab Ecosystem, where you can find appropriate tools and create your own virtual learning spaces. Furthermore, several example scenarios of using online labs are explained in this course.

This virtual lab allows students to verify Archimedes' Principle varying the mass of objects and the depth of immersion. The learning objective of the lab is to understand the relationship between the of weight of a solid and the weight of the water displaced, when the solid is fully immersed.

Do you already know?
That there is a new Viewer app in Golabz. Suppose a student has created a hypothesis in the Hypothesis Scratchpad and later likes to consult this hypothesis when doing an experiment. With the Viewer app you can let the students see what they created in a previous step (e.g. in Conceptualisation phase, using Hypothesis Scratchpad, Concept Map, Observation app, etc.) so that they do not have to switch between phases anymore. If you combine the viewer app with the Graasp show/hide option (so that students can minimize and maximize the viewer app) it will not occupy too much space.

The Seesaw Lab is primarily aimed at promoting collaborative problem solving skills. Two students can share a seesaw, whereas each of the students can only interact with one side of the seesaw. Example tasks using this lab could include asking students to answer the following questions: Can you make the seesaw balance using only 1 object? We are glad to introduce the winner of the Best Demo Award of the ext.at conference 2017!
With this remote lab, students can choose from six standard light bulbs. The light from each bulb is collected with a cosine-corrected fibre optic irradiance probe and analysed with a spectrometer. This allows further experiments such as measuring the dependence of spectral irradiance on distance from the bulb, as well as identifying the spatial and spectral features of radiant emittance.

Optical Computed Tomography online lab
The Optical Computer Tomography lab is a model experiment for the traditional CT. Instead of using x-rays laser, light is used for visualization. Students will be able to understand the principle of the CT and vary different parameters and conditions to test the quality of images.
