Hello all,

We still have a handful of spots for the upcoming coding workshop!

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) SDSU is hosting a free coding workshop in partnership with Microsoft. Using a program called KODU, students will learn basic coding by creating their own videogame. The workshop is for high school girls and requires no prior experience in coding (This program is not suitable for intermediate coders). The workshop will take place at the Fashion Valley Microsoft store from 5:00pm -7:00pm this Wednesday, December 2nd.

Please RSVP to the Green.Griffins at, not to me.

Green.Griffins; are pleased to invite all San Diego County teams over for a MASSIVE robot scrimmage and group build day.  We will have volunteers from the FRC Team, The “Holy Cow’s” and other veteran teams on hand to help with programming, building, presentation techniques, and journaling.  Come and get to know other teams in the community.  We will have a field set up and running robots in competition mode.  This will be an invaluable opportunity to have your robot put through the paces and give you ample time to make design changes prior to any early season tournaments.
Rookie Teams – This is a great opportunity to get your robot out on the field and practice with other teams in the San Diego area.  If you do not have a robot built yet, bring all of your parts with you as we will have plenty of help on site.  You will have a huge day of progress just on this day alone.  Do not pass up the opportunity to get help from the wealth of knowledge that is going to be available.  We will have a full field set up and run a mini competition style tournament. Don't worry, very casual.  Get used to the team start and stop. This will also be a great time to test your build design and see how it stacks up to the competition.
Veteran Teams – This is a great opportunity for you to test your robot out against other teams in the area.  If you do not feel like bringing your robot with you, then come on down and help out the other teams with their build or software programming.  This is a great outreach opportunity for you to showcase what you have learned from your experience with FTC.  Bring your display and get set up!

This is a last minute event and if we don't have enough teams we'll have a go-no/go decision by 11/19.

Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.
There are many great restaurants in the area for lunch options.

We look forward to seeing everyone here at High Tech High on November 21st!
