Hey, I have noticed a rattle somewhere either in the steering column or dash near the steering column of my 5900 VIN series Model 3. It only happens when riding over a few certain spots of "mild washboard-like" pavement. But it just so happens that one such stretch of road is the street my house is on, and a patch of road just outside our neighborhood. So, I get to hear it every day! Just wondering if anyone else has noticed such a rattle?

Got an email from Telsa this evening that I have a VIN number. Soon Hillsborough will have another Model 3.

Stopped into the Tesla store in Scottsdale today, and they have a Model 3 in the exact combo we have on order (minus AWD). My wife enjoyed sitting in her future car. :P

Noticed a serious ICEing issue at the Raleigh / North Hills Supercharger location last evening (Wednesday) around 9pm. Was wondering if anyone else in the group has seen ICEing at this location to this degree.

It might have been discussed before. But I want to get paint protection film on front of model 3. The quotes everywhere seem to be $1600. Tintworld in Cary is offering $2k for film and ceramic coating. Has anyone had anything done by Randy at Tintworld? Or know some good places with reasonable prices to get the PPF done?

On 5/23/2018, my late 2017 Model S experienced a hard failure. It was a multi-hour ordeal shortened here to under 30 minutes. Initially, the Tesla dropped out of auto-steer and adaptive cruise but would maintain speed without cruise on even if I stepped on the brake. Once I got off the highway, it would move at about 5 feet per minute causing all kinds of traffic problems. Realize that when your 0-60 in 4.1 sec Tesla is going 5 feet per minute, there's a constant fear that it will return to normal and slam into someone or something. In the end, Tesla towed the car back to the service center and provided a loaner Model S. The replacement drive unit just arrived.

Just got our invitation to configure AWD. I was probably 120+ people deep in the Raleigh line on release day. Excited. :)

Supercharged the 3 in Wilmington yesterday. I've charged the 3 at three other superchargers in the state but I've not seen it charge this fast before, at one point hit 119kW. I don't ever recall seeing our Model S go above 118kW (though it will hit 118 with a very low battery).

Looks like Tesla has updated the supercharger map recently, with a new supercharger in Wallace, NC expected to open this summer! I've got to make a trip to Wilmington, NC for work on Thursday, so I'll check to see if there's any activity at the Wallace exit on I-40. A few other locations on the supercharge.info map that are under construction already, now show up on Tesla's supercharger maps as " Target opening in Summer 2018", so fingers crossed this one might be under construction too.
