Hi everyone. I got a mail from a editor of a magazine saying that they want to publish my recipe. When I asked for the process, he asked for my address, phone no and a short intro to publish with my recipe. Please guide me, how to authenticate the identity of that person. I am not sure if he is genuine or fake. Before giving any further information, I want to be sure. I will appreciate any help. Thanks. :)

That's great. Publish some of your blog's recipes and make sure they link back to your blog to ensure your exposure.

I will be writing  (if I find a topic and a good piece to write about) for a middle eastern food writing magazine. That should be good if it works.

Hi blogger, Me again with a question about publishing. Today I had the chance to meet the editor of a food and health magazine in New Zealand. They found my blog and wanted to meet to collaborate with them. I had not idea about how much I should asked per recipe picture. They will use the recipes that are already on my blog so I do not have to create new pictures. Any ideas ?

Hi Guys, I would like to publish a cookbook and after writting 12 pages of book proposal including all the basics like synopsis, market analysis, content sampling blablabla I am wondering what is the smartest next move? Sending it to publisher or looking for a literary agent? Anyone has been published and want to advice? I am based in New Zealand and I am looking for local publishers. Thanks.

I've been reading about creative commons copyright. Has anyone used this, and is it worth using? Or should I just stick to the (C) and leave it at that? Is it creative commons even needed? All thoughts and criticism is appreciated :-)
(I hope I picked the right category!)

Important: To all of my friends and colleagues who are involved with The Daily Meal, please be aware that they were hit by a malware attack this morning. If you are part of their Culinary Content Network, you should delete any code you have that links back to The Daily Meal until they can get things resolved.  -Marc

Anyone ever heard of "Num Service?" Supposedly, they handle domain registrations in China and are checking with me because somebody is trying to register my blog name over there. I'm not sure if this is legit or a ploy to get me to pay them to "protect" my brand.

I received the same sort of email. It's a scam. I think these emails come from several different sources but they're all saying the same basic thing and they're from China. Delete Delete Delete!

Does anyone here submit their recipes to findingvegan.com? If so, how long is the average wait time between submission and acceptance?

I have been contacted by several different food app developers asking to use my images (with direct link to my blog for recipes) in their programs.  Has anyone partnered with any apps and have you seen any traffic develop from your partnerships?

It is so hard to determine what to spend your time on. One one hand, if you get in early on something that really hits, you can see HUGE benefit from it (think of the Pinterest early adopters who now have millions of followers because they got on early and dove in heavily), BUT most of these things don't take off, and you won't see much traffic from it. Its a toss up really. If you have the time to spare, go for it. If you don't, you might be better benefitted from devoting the time to other marketing strategies.

I am so excited to be joining this community, and go figure, I have a HUGE question right off the bat. Does anyone know if there is a way to import your Blogger blog to WordPress without losing content? I started Yumology on Blogger but after reading so many comments on how much better WordPress is I'd like to transfer over, but I don't want to lose my existing brand and recipes. Any advice?

Do any of you know if it is possible to have two YouTube accounts connected to one G+ personal profile? I would like to start doing live cooking class hangouts. I also want to hold promotional product hangouts for my business. The two don't really mix well and would make a YouTube account that didn't really make sense. Any suggestions would be great. I do prefer to do the hangouts from my personal profile and not my business profiles.

I have a question about adding text and various overlays onto pictures. Which program do you use? I use PicMonkey but I was wondering if there other programs free or paid that might do a better job. Thank you!

+Amy Stafford and +Gourmet Getaways  - Did you ever look into this more?  I was contacted by TripleLift last week and its website looks good...and the brands they mentioned in the email are specific to my blogging category (organic, fitness). I'm tempted to respond, but wanted to see if anyone in this G+ community had worked with them already! Thanks!

Does anyone have any experience with writing a book (cook book)?  Like an easy, low cost publisher to work with?  I'm looking at blurb.com...

What are your thoughts on ebooks? I was thinking of putting one together but thought it would cheapen the brand a bit so I decided not to. But in trying to come up with passive income, it's the one I came back to.

Does anyone know anything about Culinary Content Network (www.thedailymeal.com)?
I received an invitation via email to become a member of CCN.  They provide either a picture with link back to my post or a link directly to my blog.  All they ask is that I put a link in the header and footer identifying me as a member of the network.
I am doubtful of their intentions and think it may be some kind of a scam.  What do you all think?

For me, it is just a good way to meet new people in the industry. I don't see much of an increase in traffic, but that's okay with me, because I have met so many interesting folks.

I wrote a concise post on Medium about my experiences crowdfunding a cookbook. I was not the author of the book, but my partner and I designed the book and handled the campaign pr. The campaign goal was modest, but we hit it in only 4 days and went on to bring in double. Our client did not have an established following, so gaining exposure was a challenge. I think this might be helpful to those who dream of having a hardcopy book printed one day. I am happy to answer any related questions that you may have. #cookbooks   #selfpublishing   #design   https://medium.com/all-things-crowd/175fc14ffb88
