Catering to students' preferred learning styles (auditory, textual, tactile, etc.) doesn't lead to better learning outcomes and may do much more harm than good.

Interesting article on evaluation strategies for monitoring how a course is going across the semester. They discuss differences between a "continuous improvement plan" and "end-of-the-semester course evaluations" which they call the autopsy model.
