In this video I visit Yamaha Motor HQ in Milan Italy, not for anything two-wheeled (although you'll see I got really close to Valentino Rossi’s beautiful Moto GP bike), but for the launch of a second generation of Yamaha MusicCast hi-fi audio and AV equipment...

Anyone ever used electric window tint for light control in a space before? I have a space that needs about 2000 sqft of stained glass that needs some light control, never worked with the stuff before, curious if anyone has thoughts on it?

Yes we have considered the standard motorized blinds, etc. for the space but has been deemed visually unacceptable at this point.

Yep, that is about what i need for this case, as the stained glass is already darkening the light by a fair amount on it's own (The largest window is also the darkest ). There is a 20k projector and lighting in the space, darkening it will do wonders for the presentation in the space, even if not a total blackout.

Thanks very much, I will be doing a few tests on my end most likely from this, it sounds like it has about a 50/50 chance of doing what I want in this particular circumstance.

There are some interesting AV challenges with a space like this one. It's been challenging at times, but overall a fun one on which to work.

From its extraterrestrial presence to its security-state name, PSAC II, New York’s new emergency answering center, is not neighborly. But you’ll be glad it’s there.

Question for you guys. I'm sure I asked this before but now its more pressing matters.

I have a space that is using a Biamp Audiaflex DSP. I will fully openly admit I have very very very limited knowledge of DSPs and have never worked with a stand alone DSP (just ones built into AMX's DVXs). I need to start learning about DSP and mainly the Biamp unit. Does anyone know some good online places to start learning? Also I believe I recall someone once saying there is a software I can download to "play" with a biamp without having a physical unit. Any information will be helpful. Thanks guys.

Just signed up for the Biamp online training for Audia tech. Looking at the course overview it seems like I should learn the basic of the Audiaflex device I have so that will be helpful.

Guys,
Question. Can you take a VGA cable (that has a head already on it) cut the end of it and break the cable into BNC?

Video by Edwin Braun, CEO Co founder, Cebas Visual Technology
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AvSYSzfBIc

Here is a semi-tutorial/features video Edwin did 2 years ago. It shows how advanced and unique the boutique software moskitoRender, was at launched and even in today's arch viz. It is still the only GPU renderer offering physically based spectral rendering with full material and texture support within 3ds Max.

No other GPU renderer supports more textures and materials more lights and features of 3ds Max! While many other GPU renderers hide behind scene conversion and 'UNSUPPORTED TEXTURE' messages, moskitoRender takes the challenge and renders 3ds Max scenes exactly as you want them to be.

When we first announced true support for instancing geometry on GPU, we send shock-waves through the GPU developer community. Soon you will see more amazing stuff coming ! ~ Edwin

In this video I take a look at the UHP-H1, Sony’s new premium audio video player. Is this the last great Blu-ray player from Sony before it introduces its first 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray deck? The UHP-H1 is as much a High-Res Audio player as a Blu-ray deck. It’s compatible with all key audio codecs as well as Super Audio CDs and DVD-Audio. It’s also packed with cutting edge picture processing technology and will upscale regular Blu-rays to 2160p resolution.

Azerbaijan's young and talented FXTD,
Haji Gadirov, talks to Cebas about his work and
his aspiration towards big studio production.

"Everything that I know Is self taught or via online videos. When I decided to choose FX as my specific career direction in this town, no one was truly supportive of it because everybody here were mainly modelling artist or simply a generalist. So it was very difficult in the beginning stages. I had no idea where I was going to use this knowledge and so I decided to work as a distance freelancer. Today I can say that I’ve made it, that I am still a FX artist. "

Haji offers some tips to new artists who would like to start a career in FX and add TP to their toolkit.

If you're an artist that is already on cebas software and would like your work to be featured, send samples to 3dgallery@cebas.com
Thank you.

Hey guys, looking ro find if anyone has had success with a product to fit the followong description.

Education client with existing cameras and video mixer looking to easily upload filmed content to their intranet live and possibly embed in school webpage for outside access. They currently use a clickview box with downgrades to composite and is no longer supported. Possible a rackmountable transcoder fitting following reqs.

Reqirements. Must take hdmi feed and output min 720p res, not overly complicated for parially skilled teaching staff to troubleshoot or change settings if need be. Customer is willing to subscribe to software client if need be. Ball park under 3k budget.

I'm awaiting my suppliers to present their options but I know a few of you here will have an unbiased view
