BBC Two series on astronaut training

The Science Department are making an exciting new series for BBC Two which you may be interested in applying for, as they will be giving 12 people from across the UK a chance to undertake astronaut training.

Over a 28 day period participants will tackle authentic exercises, normally achieved by only a select few. From taking a spin in a human centrifuge to experiencing zero gravity, the trainees will be evaluated by a team of expert assessors. They will be pushed both physically and mentally to see if they have what it takes for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

The application process is very quick: an email sent to email: <astronauts@bbc.co.uk> will automatically send more details and a link to the online form, which should only take a few minutes to complete.

The BBC hope to meet our first candidates as early as next month and applications have started to flood in, so the sooner aspiring astronauts get in touch, the better.
