5 Things About Working with a Virtual Assistant - Out of the Office Virtual Assistance

It's hard to believe that I've been a VA for almost 10 years. I love what I do and adore my clients. ♥ Having said that, there's a lot of folks out there who don't know what VAs can do, what we are (I swear, we're not all crazy cat-lady introverts .. that's just me), and how much more efficient a small business can run when you delegate and outsource the tasks that don't earn you revenue, or suck the life out of your and your business, or aren't an effective use of your time.

If you're curious (c'mon .. you know you want to peek) into how to work with a virtual partner, have a read of today's blog post.

#virtualassistant   #outsourcing   #delegation   #oofva
Take a look at your to-do list, are there tasks on there that are taking away the time you should be using on your business? If so, it’s probably time to start looking for a virtual assistant. A vi...

I know there are some folks out there who just want the Amazon Kindle version of my new co-authored book, Do Better With Asana. Well, we've got it available for pre-order now and its list price is only $9.99. Why? Because you don't get content updates nearly as often, you only get the Kindle version (no PDF or ePub), and you don't get any of the other aspects of the tiers we're selling at the DBwA website.

But you do get it for $9.99 and can upgrade later if you want.

The other thing is that if you pre-order before launch date (2/10/15), then you'll get a bonus PDF to get you started doing better with Asana right away.

Ready to dive in and get the quintessential guide to doing great things with Asana? Then pre-order your Kindle version now!

There are a number of behavior patterns that most of us follow in a predictable way when we try something new.

It seems that #GTD has been designed—consciously or unconsciously—to support these forms of behavior.  What do you think?

Well, I wish I could offer more. While I think I've been able to  improve my productivity, I guess the best advice I've gotten so far is to keep things simple. Pretty hard nowadays, but I see a lot of wisdom in that.

How and why I declared Evernote bankruptcy --> http://goo.gl/iIOX2I
A few months ago, I came to a realization... I was starting to become an Evernote hoarder.  I was dumping notes into my Evernote account daily at an extremely high rate (often from numerous automation services like IFTTT).  Receipts, Amazon products, books I want to read, RSS feed articles, recipes, quotes I found inspirational at the time, grocery lists, vehicle records, furnace filter sizes, screenshots, etc., etc...  These are all ...

I love this quote by Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer (and if you click the link below you can see my other favorites as well) --> http://www.bobstanke.com/blog/2015/2/12/top-10-quotes-from-marissa-mayer-on-leadership-and-innovation
I have followed the career of Marissa Mayer since the mid-2000's when she was making her way up the ranks at Google, heading up numerous large, notable projects like Google Search, Maps, and Gmail, just to name a few.  To be honest, the interest in Mayer started when I discovered that she was born and raised in Wausau, Wisconsin, the same city yours truly was born in and lived for a short time.  It is always great to hear about Minnesot...

Social networks can improve your productivity if you use them properly, but they might destroy it if they become an uncontrolled addiction.

Hi there! I'd like to share one of my productivity tricks. I use a new app called Flipd that acts like a lock screen on a timer. I'm able to get work done without being distracted by my phone and can set up an auto-response to let others know I'm busy. It's pretty handy! You can download the beta here: https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/116881600097294615257

Yes, actually all incoming calls go through and you can call back missed calls even while Flipd Off. An emergency contact list can be set up for making outgoing calls too. Give it a try!
