This is a great tool.

My only ask is that you include the IP Address field!

Good Morning Everyone,
We recently updated our Chromebooks to OS 69 and now we are seeing sporadic issues with devices rebooting and producing black screens. I have personally seen it myself, but I have two schools so far that have called me about the issue. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I believe allowing the devices to update to OS 70 will fix the problem, but I wanted to hear from the group

Hello Everyone,

I keep getting this error when I try to update devices from sheet and I cannot figure out why? Any Help?

Error: Caught something: property: message value: [Invalid Input: INVALID_OU_ID] property: name value: [GoogleJsonResponseException] property: details value: [{message=Invalid Input: INVALID_OU_ID, code=400}] property: fileName value: [Code (chromebookInventory)] property: lineNumber value: [79] property: stack value: [ at Code (chromebookInventory):79 at utilities (chromebookInventory):49 (call) at Code (chromebookInventory):79 (updateInventory) ] toString(): value: [GoogleJsonResponseException: Invalid Input: INVALID_OU_ID]... This error may be because you have no organizational units, because you are not logged into a domain super-admin account, because the domain admin API is not turned on in the "Security" section of your GAFE admin panel, or because you have not yet purchased any Chrome device management console licenses.

Hello everybody,

I tried to move Chromebooks that are retired and on status DEPROVISIONED into a special OU for license purposes and to get rid of OU that aren´t longer in use. Call it that I wanna build a retirement home if you want. :)

But the Units refuse to move although it says "successful"
Can that be because of the fact that they are already Deprovisioned?

In that case, what would be the easiest solution to move them? GAM? Could somebody provide me with a command that will move all Units that are Deprovisioned if that is the case?

Hey guys/gals I have been attempting to recreate similar functionality as the chromebookinventory plugin but I am hitting a wall where I can only get 100 devices. I have tried implementing a work around but am having no success. We are looking to build our own custom chromebook inventory system in google sheets with heavy customization. I did see that you were going to release the source on github but haven't yet. Any chance I can take a look at it to see what I am doing wrong?

Hi, does anyone how is the usage time being calculated? Sometimes we turned on the Chromebook but the time was never really recorded by the system.

Our education bureau really depends on this to see if the school is utilizing Chromebooks, so this metrics is kind of important for us.

I updated spreadsheets with new OUs and notes information. Updates appeared to have worked. When I went to search for Chromebooks in a OU, however, I saw that most of my updates have failed. Most Chromebooks were moved to the root OU. For example, I wanted Chromebook X to move to Middle School > Grade 8 > Classroom 100. Now all the Chromebooks moved to 100 are now at the root / OU. Why did this happen? I have 600 Chromebooks at the root instead of in their proper OUs.

Having a problem tonight. Used before, no problem. Tonight getting this:

"Error: Caught something: property: message value: [Cannot call method "toString" of undefined.] property: name value: [TypeError] property: fileName value: [Code (chromebookInventory)] property: lineNumber value: [75] property: stack value: [ at Code (chromebookInventory):75 (updateInventory) ] toString(): value: [TypeError: Cannot call method "toString" of undefined.]... This error may be because you have no organizational units, because you are not logged into a domain super-admin account, because the domain admin API is not turned on in the "Security" section of your GAFE admin panel, or because you have not yet purchased any Chrome device management console licenses."

I'm the super admin, API has permissions, only added Annotated User information. I have extra licenses,

Stumped. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Hoping it's just a bug tonight.

The inventory doesn't seem to include the Hangouts Meet Hardware. Can that be done?

I tried updating a few hundred Chromebooks, moving them all to their proper OUs, and updating the asset ID as well as notes. It looks like all the information didn't match up with the Chromebook's serial numbers. I've tried updating the devices again, but no further changes are made. Is there a different attribute that is used to match Chromebooks? If I have a spreadsheet of serial numbers, asset IDs, and notes, can I use that to update all the Chromebooks at once? Thanks!
