Google Issue resolved! We are happy to report that as of April 8, 2017 all of the bugs reported have been resolved on Google's end. You should no longer have any issues in using this add-on and if you do, please continue to post them here. Thanks again for your continued support!

I am currently getting this error message when exporting devices. It was working yesterday afternoon but made some org units and tried to export this am and could not.

Error: Caught something: property: message value: [The data validation rule has more items than the limit of 500. Use the "List from a range" criteria instead.] property: name value: [Exception] property: fileName value: [Code (chromebookInventory)] property: lineNumber value: [317] property: stack value: [ at Code (chromebookInventory):317 (fetchInventory) ] toString(): value: [Exception: The data validation rule has more items than the limit of 500. Use the "List from a range" criteria instead.]... This error may be because you have no organizational units, because you are not logged into a domain super-admin account, because the domain admin API is not turned on in the "Security" section of your GAFE admin panel, or because you have not yet purchased any Chrome device management console licenses.

I want to download the Chromebook devices only from the root OU of our domain. Once that's done, I'd like to sort the sheet by serial number, delete devices except those from a particular manufacturer, change the OU, and re-upload the data. Will this action only change the data for just those devices and not impact that others?

In others words, are there any issues with deleting rows from a spreadsheet and working with a subset of devices?

We are getting errors exporting and updating our inventory. We are getting the following error message:

Error: Caught something: property: message value: [Cannot read property "length" from undefined.] property: name value: [TypeError] property: fileName value: [Code (chromebookInventory)] property: lineNumber value: [349] property: stack value: [ at Code (chromebookInventory):349 (fetchMaxChars) at Code (chromebookInventory):312 (fetchInventory) ] toString(): value: [TypeError: Cannot read property "length" from undefined.]... This error may be because you have no organizational units, because you are not logged into a domain super-admin account, because the domain admin API is not turned on in the "Security" section of your GAFE admin panel, or because you have not yet purchased any Chrome device management console licenses.

This just started happening late Monday/early Tuesday.

I went to export our devices to a sheet just now. It worked fine, but it looks like whatever image you had in place for the "export in progress" stage has been voted off the island. Attached screen is what I see right after clicking "Export to sheet." Here's the URL to the busted image: https://googledrive.com/host/0B2-Pf-O8LZyGekFNNHV5U011Ymc

Thanks for making my summer better by supporting this awesome add-on!

We use Chromebox for meetings in our organization, and it seems this tool does not recognize Chrome devices for meetings. Are there any plans to support Chrome devices for meetings reporting? We are particularly interested in getting a snapshot of the device health of each Chromebox.

Hello all! What do other districts do, if devices (laptop, chromebook, iPad, etc) are checked out to staff, and a staff member loses/breaks the device, what happens? Does the staff member pay for the replacement? Do staff purchase insurance like students? Do buildings cover the cost? Thank you!

Does anyone know of an add-on which does for Gsuite users what chromebookInventory does for chromebooks? I use forms to check-in devices then I run a check against my total list of gsuite users but in order to get the OrganizationUnit to download I have to do each OU individually then copy and paste into one sheet. I want to download all users and their OU. Without the copy/paste.

Thoughts?

We are attempting to update approximately 700 devices from the sheet, and it says successful, however, nothing changes in the Admin Console. Any thoughts?

Also, while we're on the subject, any way to disable these devices in mass from the sheet?

Thanks for any help!
