I am still playing with Plex and getting it set up but for $. 99 I jumped on this deal to be able to use it with my Chromecast. Is Anyone using a plex server and enjoying it? What are your experiences with the Plex system?

+Jonathan Brown first off, the developers deserve it and an annual pass isn't that much. Second, I'm constantly syncing stuff to my tablet for my 6 year old to watch in the car. Cloud sync is nice too. And early access to new features isn't always great but I live my digital life in beta so I'm used to a few bugs. Although, you don't have to run the PlexPass versions. You simply have the option to check it new features.

If you missed the Woot deal. 1saleaday has Roku 3. I would pull the trigger but I want to see what Amazon is releasing tomorrow.

Are there any good content aggregators like TV portal or video mix pro for iPhone that any body knows about???

Must have to keep track of all TV shows. I'm just missing an info which service(s) are streaming a particular show.

+Mike Johnson the first few weeks are probably the hardest for cord cutters. You end up flailing around trying to replace everything. Eventually you start finding new favorites and even other activities than just watching.

#netflix #cordcutting #cordcutter For regular Fairer Platform readers, this isn't news. Rather it's confirmation of something we already knew — that Netflix prices are congealing around three tiers of service…

#amazonprime #netflix #cordcutter #cordcutting #streaming While it might be entertaining to think "Amazon vs Netflix," the reality of the situation is that Amazon + Netflix is a better deal for viewers.

I use Vudu for purchased movies because it's cross platform on all my devices, and Google Play for rents, because it's faster and more convenient to stream through my Chromecast.

Denis - We made the choice not to include an HDMI port as Tablo is a whole home DVR solution. We stream over WiFi to all devices in your home. Read more about that here: http://bit.ly/1bXVtV6

That being said, we're working on an HTML5 app that will allow you to browse, record and watch content via browsers so a laptop hooked to your TV via HDMI will work like a charm.

I would be willing to pay $10 for three concurrent streams, $12 for four concurrent streams, etc. It would be good for our family of six that could potentially be watching four different things at the same time.

Just curious... Game of Thrones comes back tonight. Does anyone know when the new episode will be available on HBO Go? I've got my Chromecast ready!

Summary: The little icon that lets you cast videos to the TV screen could soon pop up on many more websites: JW Player is adding Chromecast support to its video player.

I'd love to back Mohu Channels, but they won't ship rewards outside the US. I wonder why... Is it a FCC regulation thing?

I just posted this over in Plex, but since a lot of cord cutters use Plex, maybe they're familiar with this issue also. A little help?

Anyone having this same issue? I host server to a few friends and it seems when they partially watch a video it shows up in my "On Deck" section like I had partially watched it. They have their own account and are streaming it from a separate network/location/IP. I'm running Plex server 0.9.8.18 on Windows 8. Any help would be appreciated, you listening +Plex ? This is the only thing I could find that explains my exact situation, but there doesn't seem to be a resolution -
